EPI Materials Testing Group (EPI MTG) is a fully equipped laboratory facility located at 1271 Rayford Bend, Spring, TX 77386, conveniently just north of Houston, TX, and specializing in Failure Analysis, Materials Analysis, Engineering Consulting Services and Chemical Analysis. EPI MTG committed to continue providing its clients with exceptional and responsive services that are the basis of our reputation.

Our principal function as an engineering firm and laboratory is to achieve complete solutions that will provide our customers 100% satisfactory and accurate results every time. EPI MTG offers custom-designed tests to meet a broad range of client needs, as well as tests in accordance with industry standards, such as; ASME, ASTM, ASM, API, and NACE.

EPI MTG was founded in 2002 and has steadily grown, year by year, gaining many new clients. Currently, we have over 700 clients in 20 countries. Our clients range from global industry leaders to local specialized service companies. In addition, we have assisted numerous litigation firms worldwide including in support of matters in State & Federal courts and at International Arbitration.
EPI MTG boasts a fully capable staff of Professional Engineers to assist in all your complex projects, testing, and design needs. We have set a high standard in work product quality that our team of highly trained engineers and technicians take great pride in achieving and delivering to clients.

EPI MTG's Mechanical Engineers have designed and analyzed hundreds of threads and components that are currently downhole in oil wells or utilized in the oil & gas industry for large cap international OEM's.Our Metallurgists will ensure you select the right material for your specific loading and environmental conditions.
EPI MTG offers a group of highly experienced and knowledgeable Professional Engineers to bridge the gap between Mechanics theory and its application to real world problems. Our experts can assist in design of products/systems, failure analysis of mechanical components/assemblies, and the use of Fitness for Service (FFS) rules and technology to confirm that continued service of older equipment is safe.
When materials fail, they do so for a number of reasons: fatigue, overload, creep, corrosion, erosion, poor welds, wear, improper materials, design, manufacturing, defects, modifications, poor maintenance, and misuse. EPI Materials Testing Group has extensive experience in performing field and laboratory investigations into the root cause of material failures.
We are still open and available for all your testing needs, as well now offering remote meeting and inspection services.
