Peggy Farren is an award winning, professional photographer, author, instructor and speaker. She started out as a frustrated wannabe photographer, struggling with the technical side of photography. With people like her in mind, Peggy began offering photography training and tours over 10 years ago through her training center "Understand Photography".
Joe Fitzpatrick is one of that rare breed of photographers who possesses both a vast array of technical knowledge and the ability to communicate it in clear, simple terms. Joe is the type of person who needs to know how everything works. If he doesn't know, he'll figure it out! And then he'll simplify it so that the rest of us can understand!
Brian Jannsen is a professional photographer specializing in Travel and Landscape Photography. His work has been widely published in books, calendars and magazines throughout the world. Brian has been leading photo tours in Europe for many years. He is now calling Southwest Florida home during the winters.

Most excursions are one to five photographers, however, we can accommodate large groups as well. Understand Photography has teamed up with Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary to explore the private back country of this amazing wetland. We travel in the back of a four-wheel drive pickup truck through several different habitats, stopping along the way for amazing landscape and wildlife photography.

Peggy Farren rocks! I attended her Manual Camera Setting and Flash basics classes and they were exceedingly helpful! Peggy and her instructors and Understand Photography are so wonderful and informative and have the ability to explain things in a way it's easy for even a first time photographers to comprehend. And besides the classes, their photo walks are also fantastic! With only a few to a group it gave everyone an equal amount of help from the instructors.
