Our experience with TDS Custom Construction has spanned a decade, with first a complete basement remodel undertaken about 10 years ago. The design, the underlying mechanicals, and the construction quality were absolutely the best. Our remodeled basement looks and functions as well now as when it was completed.

We have had the home performance test done by Steve et al and it may have saved us more years of watching the ceilings for leaks after a Wisconsin snow fall. We spent years trying to "fix" our leaks in several places in our 90 year old house. We finally asked an expert to help us and after 3 previous tries...in a nutshell it worked. They insulated in the right places and our home is now tight and leak free. We then had them do a complete analysis of our home and we now have a plan to eventually bring everything up to date. We will do it as our budget allows but now we actually have a professional

We were so impressed with the professionalism of everyone on the job, even subcontractors. Their lead carpenter Sean is an incredible craftsman and his inclusiveness with us on specific elements of the job made us feel like we were a part of the project at all times. They help pinpoint all the nooks and crannies where you're losing your heat or air and the outside is seeping in using spy-like infrared tools.
They give you recommendations on what energy updates would have the most impact, (which is especially helpful if you have a tight budget and can only make some of the recommended improvements.)
They're also well versed in the subsidies and rebates offered by various agencies.
Highly recommended!

TDS built a custom desk/computer cabinet in my motorhome. I got exactly what I wanted plus. It's totally secure when on the road and opens up conveniently when in use. They added a pencil drawer below the keyboard shelf - I hadn't thought of that, but it's perfect. It matches other woodwork in the cabin - couldn't be more perfect. Highly recommended. With the work that TDS did, I was so impressed throughout the whole process. Steve did a thorough job in assessing the house, then was clear and patient in walking through what some good options could be. We had work done in the basement and the attic and TDS did a great job of managing each step. I appreciated how Steve took a very hands-on approach throughout, wanting to be sure all the work was done at the highest level.
