I'm Ali, thanks for checking out my little part of the internet! I'm a nationally published professional photographer specializing in senior portraits in the Central Virginia area. Over the years, I've photographed many different genres, but senior portraits have become my all time favorite.

Every year in March, I begin the search for my new group of Senior Models. The response has been overwhelming (almost 40 in the past) and I always dread having to pick and choose between all the fantastic juniors that apply. I knew that I couldn't possibly choose everyone but turning people down never felt right to me.
Today on my blog we have David, a senior from Louisa County High School's Class of 2020. This session includes studio football photos (with gels and a smoke machine) and awesome sunset photos with the coolest Camaro I've ever seen so let's get to it! I've been a little MIA but I'm back and am continuing to update my website with the Class of 2020 Sports Portraits Charlottesville Virginia!
In addition to photographing high school seniors, I am also a headshot photographer in Charlottesville and have quite a few corporate clients including Southern States, UVA and Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing. No matter your profession, having an excellent headshot is a necessity. It's often the first time people are seeing you so you want to look your best!
I've tried to keep it simple so the price that you see listed on each package, is all that you will have to pay! No hidden fees or minimum purchase amounts. You also receive a print release form which means if you'd rather print your photos elsewhere, feel free! You may print them wherever you want, as many times as you want!

My experience with Ali Johnson Photography has been AMAZING!!! If there was a 10 star rating, I would definitely give it to her. She has an amazing rapport with the teens, that puts them at ease and makes the shoot fun and easy, so you get natural pictures and not staged or artificial ones. Her pricing is outstanding for the professional quality pictures and the time that she provides. I will definitely use her again when my youngest needs senior photos. A+++++

My daughter needed her senior pictures and I needed a headshot for my new job. Ali was super professional and accommodating scheduling the sessions. She made us feel comfortable and at ease while taking pictures....I really dislike posing for pictures. They turned out great and her turnaround time was very fast! We received images to both print and/or share on social media. Ali made the whole process easy. I highly recommend her and will use her again in the future.

Ali was amazing at capturing my son's Senior pictures. Absolutely beautiful work. She was prompt, responsive in setting up the session answering all my questions. Was a JOY to work with putting my son at ease and getting that perfect smile out of him. HIGHLY recommend!

Ali is very talented in capturing life's moments through the lens. She is so creative in her posing and use of props, the most talented I have found in our area. She offers instant photo review and selection in the studio, which helps a lot to reduce wait time. She has a true artist's eye and is so friendly to work with! She has done my cancer before/after pics as well as my child's school photos.

When we walked in to the studio, my daughter was instantly at ease. Ali did the best job of helping her to pose and look natural in front of the camera that I’ve ever seen. We had fun bantering and really enjoyed the session, especially viewing and choosing our favorite images immediately.
Ali has an awesome studio with many small touches that add up to an overall impression of fun, competent, professional artistry through portraits.
10/10 will return.

My daughter Olivia had a wonderful experience having her senior portraits done with Ali. Initially she was very responsive in coordinating her photo shoot and flexible in providing a time for us. We felt comfortable and Liv was really relaxed, she had a wonderful time during the shoot. Ali was patient while we chose her pictures and provided help when asked with great insight. Most importantly Olivia's pictures are beautiful! We both highly recommend Ali!!!
