Services
Pediatric dentistry involves care that is specific to babies, toddlers, children and teenagers. A Pediatric Dentist spends an additional 2-3 years in training after dental school learning to monitor the growth of and to treat infants, children, and adolescents. Dental care is incredibly important when it comes to your child's overall health.
Pediatric dental exams are done in our office in a safe, comfortable and relaxed manner. A dental exam is composed of a thorough evaluation of all hard (teeth) and soft tissues (gums) for detection of cavities and oral health conditions. Diagnostic aids such as x-rays may be needed to help with this visual examination.
X-rays are a valuable tool in the examination process allowing the dentist to not only detect and prevent cavities, but also monitor oral disease, manage and evaluate trauma, and monitor the development of teeth. In addition, X-rays help monitor the progress of past dental therapy that may have been completed.
Sealants are thin protective coatings that are applied to the biting surfaces of the back teeth. They form a barrier between your tooth and any bacteria and plaque in the mouth, and can last for up to three years. Not only can sealants help to prevent cavities, but they can help to prevent deep staining.
While brushing and flossing are incredibly beneficial to the health of your teeth, what you eat and drink on a regular basis can contribute to dental problems. A diet full of sugar and carbs can lead to tooth decay, and late night snacking can create problems with both cavities and gum disease. We offer nutritional counseling to help shine a light onto your current diet and changes that you can make to improve your eating habits.

We absolutely adore Peak Pediatric Dentistry. Doctor Dixon and his team are wonderful... they are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They are extremely efficient and respectful of your time.... we get in and on with our day quickly. Because of Doctor Dixon and his amazing team, my kids actually enjoy going to the dentist... yes, you read that right.... they like going to the dentist!!
I couldn't recommend them more.... if you're looking for a dentist who will provide superior care for your kiddos, then he's your guy!

Friendly and helpful staff as well as up to date kid friendly design. We were surprised by the unique qualities of the office that make our children very comfortable in the dentist chair. We have NEVER had such an easy visit until we scheduled with Peak Pediatric Dentistry! 10/10 highly recommended!!

I went to see Dr Dixon for a second opinion for my daughter. After speaking with him, I knew that this will be our new Dental home! Both my kids are now part of the Peak Pediatric dentistry family.
I love that Dr Dixon has a conservative approach to dentistry. He will not do any procedure unless it is absolutely necessary!

We are a military family coming from AZ, so it was hard looking for a Dental Office for our 5 children. This office was referred to us by multiple families and I can see why! They are amazing! Our 5 children were seen and the staff were super friendly. I would totally recommend this Dental Office. Our children loved it here and will be coming for future appointments!

Amazing Staff! they were so friendly and accommodating to me and my Autistic Daughter. They were very patient with her and very respectful of her boundaries and abilities. Very understanding people! Although we weren't able to get much done due to my daughter protesting, they did offer us another appointment in a few months where they could have and Anesthesiologist come in. However, they did say I would have to be the one to contact them, schedule them and would also have to pay an up front Fee for them; that I would be later reimbursed. Other than that, would definitely recommend! The Staff was

Dr. Chris and staff at Peak Pediatric are absolutely wonderful. Their care and concern for their patients is over the top. When you become a patient, you become a part of their family. They are always responsive in times of crisis, and do their very best to work with you to meet your unique needs. My insurance changed and I had to find a new dentist for my kids. I stumbled upon Peak Dentistry and am so glad that I did! I previously went to another popular pediatric dentist here in Carlsbad and this establishment was much more quaint and personal versus a larger in and out type of place. Amazing service, super friendly staff and overall a great experience here at Peak Dentistry. Highly recommend.
