Research in counseling and behavioral health indicate that faith activities and spiritual activities can often help in healing and recovery. We offer our clients the most current mental health best practice approaches and the opportunity for them to integrate religious or spiritual-based counseling.

Our staff are licensed in the fields of psychology, social work, professional counseling, and marriage and family therapy. Visit our Staff Biographies to get to know them. Some of our staff have advanced training and expertise in fields such as Play and Sand Play therapy. For crises that require immediate assistance, we urge you to call 911, Crisis Response of Santa Fe at 505-820-6333, or visit your nearest Emergency Room.

Consistent with the ethical principles that mental health professionals respect the human rights, dignity and worth of all persons and peoples, PPCA affirms that it supports practical and humane immigration policies that consider the well-being of immigrants, refugees, and particularly families. This includes the provision of appropriate medical, mental health, and social services.
Bette is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has extensive experience counseling adults, including older adults, who are dealing with all forms of loss and transition. Bette also specializes in working with people who have persistent and chronic challenges with depression, with managing stress and emotions, or with relationships.
Don't feel bad about feeling bad. Don't be frightened of feeling afraid. Don't be angry about getting angry. There is no need to give up when we are feeling depressed. Nor should we be dismayed at the grief which often accompanies the outgrowing of anything which needs outgrowing. We can be glad that our soul is speaking to us and pushing us onwards.
As many of our staff are only available part-time, we are not the best resource for crises that require 24/7 services. If urgent help is needed, please call 911 or Crisis Response of Santa Fe at 505-820-6333, or visit your nearest Emergency Room. This is especially important if there is a past history of harm to oneself or others, or of inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
