The shop was chosen by my insurance company after a high-speed collision on the Mass Pike, which smashed in my Prius's front end. Service was terrific, and they had to deal with supply-chain problems (autumn 2021), which frustrated both them and me. When I finally got the car back, it was better than new. I don't live near Tolland, but for those who do, I wholeheartedly recommend the folks at Johnson Auto Body.

Johnson Auto body did a great job on repairing my Buick Encore. Someone hit the car overnight and never left a note. I was able to drive it to them and they had my rental car waiting. They worked with my insurance from day one until the vehicle was fixed. They did a very nice job on the three panels that had a dent on them.

I went to Johnson Auto Body because my car was damaged with scratches and dents. The people at Johnson Auto Body were so friendly and very honest! I was extremely pleased with their customer service and they were very reasonable in price! The best part was that the turnaround time was so fast! I didn't expect to see my car back so soon and it looked brand new! I will recommend Johnson Auto Body to anyone who needs body work done to their vehicle!

A couple weeks ago, I was rear ended on 91 by a hit and run driver who did not brake for the stopped traffic. I am extremely grateful for my Ford Explorer for keeping me safe and being able to walk away without injury.

Last year I got into an accident with a taxi which destroyed my front bumper, fender and right rim cap. This year I recommended through my insurance to go to this place and man did they not disappoint. They replaced the damaged parts and refinished it with the paint and my car looks as good as new again. The staff was great and I had an individual (I will not name for their privacy) who reached out to give me updates about the repair status of my car until it was ready which I really appreciated. It was a one week turn around and I am grateful for the mechanics taking pride in their work.

Really wonderful job. They fixed a rather nasty chip on my rear quarter-panel which meant matching the paint and gloss on my 1979 Fiat Spider. Not an easy color to match but TJ and his team nailed it. They also went ahead and fixed a leaky fuel line I’d been meaning to address (free of charge!) Super pleased with the work and experience at Johnson Auto Body. Highly recommend

Within one month two cars from our family sustained damage (one a rear-end hit and another driving over construction debris on the highway.) Johnson Auto Body did terrific and quality work on both repairs. The car with the rear-end hit looked like new when it was done. We appreciated that the staff took the time to keep us informed via phone of the status of the repairs on each car. The office staff are very well organized and the repair staff know their trade well!! We highly recommend this business.

TJ Ryan did an outstanding job painting my aftermarket hood after most body shops wouldn't even take on the job. Other shops said they would need to blend the quarter panels to match everything, but TJ actually listened to me when I told him that, someday, I may put the stock hood back on and blending my fenders was not an option (then they would likely not match the stock hood).
TJ assured me he could match the color, and sure enough, he did. The next issue we ran into was matching the white vinyl racing stripes that run the length of the car. Turns out the white is a proprietary color blend

I recently struck a raccoon that damaged the front bumper of my 2013 BMW. On the recommendation of several friends, I chose to have the repairs done at Johnson Auto Body. Debbie and Joe were helpful, professional and courteous through the whole process. The quality of the work is top notch and the paint and fitment of the replacement bumper looks factory original. I'm very picky about who I allow to work on my vehicles, and I will gladly bring them my business if I ever need it in the future!

I don't know if the previous review had some effect on this business or there was some sort of misunderstanding between Dave and the owner at Johnson. My experience was the opposite of what he described. We brought in our Volvo thinking that we needed brakes. The owner had ample opportunity to tell us whatever he wanted and charge us accordingly. Instead, he explained that the brakes were fine and that sometimes it will seem like they are rubbing when it is actually just the antilock brakes. Honestly, he could have told me the rotors were shot and I would have believed him and paid. We came

Competent and professional, but you'll pay top dollar for average work. They charge for every little thing.
They have been around a long time and understand how to make the insurance system work for them ( and only them ) . Keep your guard up and expect they will live up to the letter of any agreement but maybe not the spirit of the agreement.
Review all documents carefully and don't assume you will get anything more than what is documented.
They surely know what they are doing, but will extract every possible dollar ( as is to be expected ). Always friendly, but not really your friend
