We're a married pair who have been photographing together (and separate) for nearly a decade. We founded Westlund Photography with the desire to capture the unique personalities of the people we work with in an authentic and soulful way. Our personalities are a mix of laid-back, happy, calming, and adaptable.
We've been based out of Southern California for many years but recently moved back to our home state of Idaho to invest in time with our families. We've had the privilege of capturing love stories all over the world but no matter where we are Our heart is to create our best work yet every time we shoot.

Services
Family photojournalism session are available in both Idaho and San Diego, California. These sessions take place in your home or favorite places (from the park behind your house to home depot to a vacation at Disneyland). My goal is to create beautiful and soulful memories that your family will cherish.
We had a vision, but when we couldn't put our finger on specifics, they took the time to scope out amazing spots to take photos in. It was beyond what we could imagine! Phil and Aubrey Westlund are THE best! From the start, they were easy-going, accommodating, and honest, which immediately put us at ease.

Aubrey and Phillip are amazing people! They are so nice, professional, and above all so talented. They were able to capture every detail of our special day and make it look so beautiful. They were so easy to work with and worked really well with our videographer and wedding planner. They knew exactly what they were doing and captured us and our loved ones in the best possible way. Highly recommend them!

We have nothing but great things to say about the Westlunds! From the initial contact we made to receiving the finished product – they were a complete joy to work with. Our wedding was on the small side, so we just ended up having Phillip shoot the wedding and reception dinner. Days and even weeks after the wedding, our guests were talking about Phillip and what a wonderful person he was to have in attendance. I think Phillip was talked about more than anything else! This speaks volumes. We loved receiving their “preview” images from our wedding day just a couple of days after the wedding

If it was possible to give 6 stars I would. I don't think I could love my wedding photos any more and it's because Aubrey and Philip are beyond talented. They are awesome humans, but beyond that they both have a gift and it results in the most gorgeous images. I will cherish them always and think it was the best decision selecting them to be our photographers! You cannot go wrong!

These two photographers are near and dear to my heart. They came highly recommended by a friend, when we were looking for wedding/engagement photographers. Not only are they incredible people, but they've got mad skill. My husband and I wanted a surf engagement shoot to celebrate our love for the ocean. Phil + Aubrey scaled a cliff down to the water to make this happen! lol the pictures are breathtaking and we could not be more thankful for this talented couple and their vision.

I discovered Westlund Photography while scrolling Instagram in search of the perfect LA photography team for our DTLA wedding. Wedding photos and great cocktails were the two areas that were most important to me and my man so I did a ton of research.
Right away their style caught my eye as it had an authentic vibe I knew I wanted. Equally important, I needed someone patient as I hate taking pics - I get fidgety and awkward and it’s just not cute.
From my first call with Phillip I felt comfortable and was put as ease knowing I wouldn’t need to be some insta-model to get great wedding pics
