Dr. Hengst purchased the dental practice of Dr. Roger Buriak located on North 2nd St. in downtown Newport with the primary goal as to provide the highest level of dental care to local residents. Word spread very quickly and new patients were attracted by Dr. Hengst's kind and gentle nature and extreme thoroughness with their care and treatments.
Jill started working in the dental field while she was still in High School. After graduation she went on to post-secondary school at Pennsylvania College of Technology where she attained her Dental Hygiene degree. After many years with a periodontist Jill brought her talents to Hengst Family Dentistry and has been a member of our hygiene department since 2007.
In our practice we offer a comprehensive array of dental health care and services for our patient's needs. The initial comprehensive examination is a process in which Dr. Hengst & Dr. Stirling take necessary records to provide a thorough diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan. Oral Cancer Screening: If you are a tobacco or smokeless tobacco user, you are in primary danger of developing oral cancer.
Dr. Hengst has provided general dentistry care to Newport area residents since 2003. He earned his undergraduate degree at West Virginia University, his dental a degree at University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and completed his post-graduate residency at Muhlenberg Hospital, which allowed him to develop an even greater experience in dentistry.

Way to minimize anxiety about going to the dentist at Dr Daniel Hengst Family practice, Newport!
I had a disinfectant wipe in hand going into the dentist office for any door handles on the way. Disinfectant pump on the receptionist desk and the doctor already opening the door, allowing me to avoid touching anything. Temperature taken, thermometer wiped immediately. Total confidence in the integrity of this office!

I had a biopsy (gum/lip area) at medical facility miles from my home. Doctor Hengst is my hometown dentist. The stitches were to be removed. I contacted his office to see if they would remove them so I would not have to travel to the site of the biopsy. The staff is always pleasant professional and friendly. I explained what had happened to the doctor and he removed my stitches. It's always a pleasant experience having great medical facility close to home.

Dr. Hengst is an excellent dentist and really does care about your health. He's honest, tells you what you need to know and makes you feel extremely comfortable. My wife and I both go there because my wife was in dental hygiene for 23 yrs. and is very choosy of her dentist and mine. The staff there is excellent, friendly and thorough. I would recommend them to all of my friends.
