At Massei Photography, we specialize in weddings and studio portraits for couples, families, and anyone who just wants updated portraits.
We also offer outdoor portraits for those who prefer the sun on their face! My husband and I LOVED working with April & Austin. For our engagement session and our wedding, they were so helpful every step of the way. They handled themselves professionally, but also were willing to have fun and take risks.

We're April and Austin, the husband and wife team behind the cameras of Massei Photography. We provide wedding and portrait photography in Richmond, as well as all of Virginia and beyond. Both of us were born and raised in a town called Mechanicsville, VA, right outside of Richmond. We have been married for 11 years but together for a total of 16 years.
I'm so glad you are here! I'm April (half of Massei Photography) My mission here at Boudoir by April is to show YOU just how Amazing and Beautiful you are! We offer timeless, classy and sexy boudoir photography in a comfortable, laid back atmosphere! I know just how nervous, and intimidating it can be, but I make it easy and worry free.
We are so happy to have our own space to create whatever we want! The studio is a dream come true for us, We wanted a place were we could make our clients feel at home and be able to create portraits any way we want! The Studio is also a place to learn and explore new ideas! Located in Mechanicsville, VA (only 5 minutes from our home), we found the perfect space!

There are no amount of words in any dictionary in the world to express the gratitude we have for April and Austin at Massei photography. Their photography talent speaks for itself in every one of their photos however, their superior photography service extends beyond that. We cannot recommend Massei Photography enough! For starters, April and Austin are two of the nicest people we have ever met, but they are also incredible at what they do. We chose the wedding and engagement shoot package and it was the best decision we've ever made. They were so responsive from the time we inquired up until our photos were delivered. April was so helpful with choosing a location for our engagement shoot and even helped me decide on outfits. A lot of people aren't use to being in front of a camera for these kinds of pictures, but they truly make you feel so comfortable. April does

April and Austin are AWESOME!!!! Clay and I were married on 11/11/18 at the Princess Anne Country Club with the most artistic photographers by our side. They are a great pair and the photos they capture prove it all. Photos help share and tell your story and they did a great job capturing our love, family, and friends on our special day. Their turn around time is so quick that I actually received our wedding photos before my friend who got married a month before me. They have this amazing software were you can easily manage and send out links to everyone so they can see your entire camera roll

To say Massei Photography was the absolute best would be a huge understatement. They were AMAZING!! April and Austin are the cutest couple and work great as a team. They were professional, responded promptly to text, calls, or emails, and most importantly made us feel comfortable. My husband and I thought posing and taking photos would be awkward and uncomfortable, however this was not the case with Massei Photography! We first met them when they were kind enough to make the drive to my family's house on the York River where I wanted to have our engagement photos taken. They told us the best time

I have used Massei Photography twice now for family photos! They are amazing! April and Austin are a husband and wife team and they are so patient with little kids (probably Bc they have two of their own). I leave the photo shoots thinking that we didn’t get any workable material Bc my daughter is so strong willed, but they never disappoint! Every time they offer mini sessions, I book them because the spots fill up fast! Can’t wait for our next ones, whenever they may be! :)

April and Austin were wonderful to work with. It's always been my mom's dream to have our family pictures done at the beach. I emailed April and immediately saw a response from her. She was easy to contact, and was immediately open to taking pictures of 6 adults and an elderly dog. Our photos were absolutely wonderful, and we received them in an incredibly timely fashion. We are 100% thrilled with April and Austin's work- their beautiful pictures are displayed throughout our homes wherever there's a beach theme. We will absolutely be in contact with them for future photography needs.

We were referred to April and Austin by a mutual friend. We were looking for a photographer for our wedding and I was having trouble finding one who was reasonably priced and whose photographs I really liked. My then fiancé and I were also not formal picture people, so we really wanted the right fit to ensure we got photos of our wedding day that we would love. Well, we liked April from the first conversation and the photographs we saw had beautiful lighting and were more natural feeling than so many of the super "posey" ones out there. We decided to go for it and tossed in engagement pictures
