Brian Johnson, a member of the firm for ten years, has been elected as judge of the Knox Superior Court 2. The firm congratulates Brian and gives him its best wishes. Services
A visitor to Kolb Roellgen & Traylor LLP is immediately immersed in the firm's history. This is intentional. The first partner, Samuel Judah, began the practice in 1819 after walking from New Brunswick, New Jersey to Indiana. His picture, along with those of other partners, hangs on the wall facing the front door.
He attended high school in Vincennes Indiana and attended Vincennes University, earning an A.S. degree in 1974; He then attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, obtaining his B.S. in Business Admininstration and Management in 1976; He attended Indiana University-Indianapolis, earning his J.D. (Cum Laude) in 1979.
Cindy graduated from Red Hill High School in Bridgeport IL in 1976. Following an 11 year career at Golden Rule Insurance, Cindy graduated, cum laude, from the Legal Assistant/Paralegal program at Vincennes University in 1990. As a Legal Assistant, Cindy assists the lawyers by drafting various letters and pleadings, file organization, scheduling depositions and mediations.
Susan graduated, cum laude, from Vincennes University in 1989 with an Associate's Degree in Paralegal/Legal Assistant. She then attended Ball State University and in 1991 received a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Administration. Susan is a former member of the Paralegal/Legal Assistant Advisory Committee at Vincennes University.
We are fortunate to live in area of the world where minerals are abundant. If you own unimproved land, it is more likely then not that someone will approach you to develop those minerals. The potential compensation to the mineral owner can be great. However, there are many concerns that must be addressed to protect the owner and the surface of the land.
