Services
This can be anything done to correct imperfections in the appearance of the mouth. Anyone who is unhappy with their smile can have it fixed. The upper teeth show, usually, only when smiling, while the lower teeth remain hidden. This is reversed when talking, with the upper teeth remaining hidden while the lower teeth show.
Crowns are full coverage restorations that are used to cover a tooth that is likely to break, or is too broken down to be restored with a filling. They are most commonly done after root canal treatment, or when a large filling wears out. The larger the hole made by a cavity that has to be treated, the more likely a crown will be needed.
Q: Which type of toothbrush should I use? A: The brand of the toothbrush is not as critical as the type of bristle and the size of the head. A soft toothbrush with a small head is recommended because medium and hard brushes tend to cause irritation and contribute to recession of the gums, and a small head allows you to get around each tooth more completely and is less likely to injure your gums.

I’ve been going to Joseph Potvin for 18 years. I’ve been waiting for phase 2 to begin so I could call for an appointment. I had been waiting since the end of March to get in because we were in Quarantine. I called this morning to see about getting in because I have had a loose wisdom tooth since the beginning of quarantine. They asked if I was a patient and what I needed. They promptly told me that they couldn’t get me in for a few months and that I would have to try and see if I can get in with another dentist! I said well who do you recommend, well she couldn’t say! A minor cosmetic repair which was poorly executed in late 2015 has resulted in two root canals plus crowns, and replacing a very pricey front crown due to damage which occurred during that fateful minor ($120) repair. Now issues with the latest root canal have brought total charges to $3500. Be careful when choosing a dentist!

I had a fear of the dentist....Mitch Potvin made it so I wasn't scared, I was comfortable and no longer afraid to get my teeth taken care of. He does great work, the office staff is courteous and everyone who works here is amazing. I love going to the dentist.....something you dont hear many people say 😊

Heard great recommendations on this dentistry, yet when I called in November of 2015, the next available appointment wasn't until March of 2016. So I was placed on a "if a patient cancels" list. It's now mid April and I haven't heard a thing. This place appears to have high recommendations, however, maybe customer service should be worked on. If I scheduled the "next" March appointment, I'd already have had an appointment; yet here I am looking for other dentists being that this one seems to not care about gaining new patients that will stay with them for the long haul. Completely disappointed

Great dentist but very poor knowledge on business ethics! As someone who handles medical insurances, its the business who is responsible for asking what type of plan you have when stating the insurance carrier to see seen. Beware and dont let them add a bill in your name because they do not care to use the appropriate measures.
I hope some training on how to enter new patients is under way soon! Not to mention a change in the receptionists rude attitude. Please update this lady on correct prodecures from the 2000s. I have no doubt in my mind that you have lots of unpaid invoices and its time to
