With over 20 years established as a firm, Gary Backus is ready to help you find the best solution for financial troubles. Reach out to us today to discuss your case. Especially today, many people believe debt is an inevitable part of life. Whether you're drowning in student loans, upside down on your mortgage, or overwhelmed by other types of debt, you may think your only way out is to continue working as hard as possible to make ends meet.
The U.S. Bankruptcy Code, however, offers a solution that hundreds of thousands of Americans use each year. Individuals in all kinds of financial situations file bankruptcy to obtain relief from impossible levels of debt. Some file because they're facing debt collection lawsuits or foreclosure, while others file because they know they cannot possibly pay off their debt in a reasonable amount of time.

As the intersection between consumer law and finance, bankruptcy is a unique area of the legal realm. Navigating this terrain requires a wealth of knowledge as well as sensitivity toward the distinct experiences of each client.
The consequences of debt can be lifechanging. When most of your paycheck goes to medical bills, mortgage payments, credit card bills, and other types of debt, you aren't able to build a savings, make smart investments, or build the life you deserve. In the worst-case scenario, you might be receiving endless calls from creditors.
Many people with steady incomes but exorbitant levels of debt think they have no choice but to keep their nose to the grindstone and hopefully make a dent in what they owe after many years. Bankruptcy, they believe, is for those who aren't making ends meet and have debt collectors at their heels. The U.S. Bankruptcy Code, however, offers a type of bankruptcy for those are make enough each month to get by.
Second only to mortgage debt, student loan debt is financially crippling for millions of Americans. This year, total student loan debt in the U.S. surpassed $1.6 trillion, but the federal government has yet to offer a clear solution to this national crisis. Many say Americans are being punished-rather than rewarded-for furthering their education.

I ADVISE EVERYONE NOT TO USE THIS ATTORNEY. HE'S A LIAR AND SO IS HIS RECEPTIONIST. WHEN YOU FIRST HIRE HIM HE SEEMS TO BE VERY COPORATIVE AND HELPING BUT ONCE THE PAPERS ARE SIGNED THEN HE NO LONGERS ASSIST YOU. ALL HE WANT IS YOUR MONEY HE IS NOT THERE TO HELP YOU AS A CLIENT! HIS RECEPTIONIST IS VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL AND HE ALLOWS HER TO TREAT YOU THAT. WE CANCELLED OUR CASE WITH HIM BECAUSE WE NO LONGER WANTED TO BE TREATED WITH DISRESPRECT IN RETURN HE WAS ISSUED A 2,120 CHECK FOR US THAT HE WOULDNT RETURN. HE ALSO DONT EXPLAIN TO YOU HOW BANKRUPTCY FULLY WORKS AND DONT TELL YOU ONCE
