A lifestyle & portrait photographer based in Columbus, Ohio who specializes in families, newborns, couples, lifestyle brand and small event photography. I'm an animal-loving vegetarian fueled by one-on-one conversations, yoga and large amounts of coffee. Seriously, coffee is life. I took my first film class at age 9, and I still shoot film on occasion (check out the "adventure" section to see a few).
I've always been a creator, artist, and photographer, but went to school for commercial interior design (which I still do part time). Now a mom of two boys, life is a little more messy and chaotic and I spend most of my free time picking up toy trains off the floor and vacuuming German shepherd hair.

That's what I said to Mike the moment we booked two out of state weddings back to back, and committed to shooting 5 weddings in 3 states in 2 weeks. When we started this in 2013, I had no idea where it would take us. I didn't know if we'd succeed or fail, burn out, or thrive. Less than a year later, I left my steady, reliable design job (with lots of nice people and a beautiful office) to explore the business full time.
Oak + Pine is simply the best. Kate always makes our whole family, including our kids, feel comfortable and happy during our shoots, and that translates beautifully to our photos. Kate strikes the perfect balance of candid and posed photos, and her shooting and editing talent is unmatched. We cherish our photos from our shoots with Oak + Pine and look forward to continuing to work with them for years to come.

There are too many great things to say about Kate and Mike / Greybird Galleries in one post. Our pictures and experience were beyond expectation. Besides marrying my husband and sharing the day with our friends and family, photography was the most important part to me. Kate and Mike went above and beyond expectation for both our engagement and wedding photos. For those of you planning your own wedding - Kate is a logistical timeline genius. Logistics were one of the most stressful parts of planning my own wedding. The meeting with them before our wedding was so helpful and made the day go smoothly

Greybird Galleries has exceeded my expectations and the wedding hasn't even happened yet! We received the link to our engagement session photos a few days ago and I can't stop looking at them! Kate and Mike are amazing and so very talented. They were more than willing to travel a little bit to our beloved Alma Mater in Athens, Ohio (Go Bobcats) for our engagement photos. Despite our nerves, Kate and Mike were able to make the whole process seem so easy. We really enjoyed our session and getting to know these 2 before our big day. Kate and Mike did a fabulous job with our wedding photography and engagement photos. They turned out truly amazing!! We were the first wedding to use their new state of the art photobooth. It defiantly was the hit of the party and everyone loved our custom photo strip that Kate designed. I would highly recommend this company for both photography and use of their high quality photobooth!!!

Kate and Mike did our engagement and wedding photos. Couldn't be happier with the results.
We were looking for a photo-journalistic style and they executed it perfectly. We hardly saw them but they didn't miss a moment. They also caught the event from interesting angles and perspectives. I would recommend these guys to anyone.
Most importantly, they're all-around good people. They genuinely wanted our day to go well and did everything in their power to make it happen.

I was very lucky to meet Kate and Mike when I was a bridesmaid in a wedding they shot last summer. It was for a wedding of two of my best friends from high school - Becci and Alex Shields. I was SO impressed by how they worked with all of us in the bridal party and how truly talented these two were in capturing this perfect day.
