Located on the shore of Dollar Point, a porch staircase leading to a perfect sandy beach is not the only reminder of this home's stunning setting on the edge of Lake Tahoe. Beautiful views of the lake are afforded from many of the rooms in the home, especially that of the open layout common rooms and double master bedrooms.
A truly unique project, this historic renovation involved much more than a simple facelift. Originally a four apartment complex, the owners and design team created a plan for a new living space below, accessed by one converted apartment space, and three remodeled apartments.
In order to create the new living space, our team lifted the building from its original foundation, moved it across steel beams 50 feet towards the river, and placed it on stilts while the new living space foundation was excavated and poured. After several weeks of a life on stilts, including one nerve wrecking rain storm, the building was ready for its journey back across steel beams to its new home.

What can you say when you win "Tahoe Quarterly Remodel of the Year" thanks to Mt Lincoln? They were honest, professional and took on a very challenging, complex job. The outcome was spectacular- we have a WOW home. Mt Lincoln delivered on budget and within our time line- and we absolutely love our home! We interviewed many contractors before choosing Mt Lincoln and thank goodness we did. They started out as our contractors, and now they are our friends.

We had a major water leak in our home. Damage was in the $50K range. We interviewed several local contractors, and hired Mt. Lincoln Construction mainly due to the concern and attention owner Paul Zarubin gave us. His subs were all very professional and on the job when promised. Paul coordinated the entire project and was on site to make sure all details were complete. Job was completed much faster that we could have hoped for, and his attention to our needs was above and beyond. We are part-timers in Tahoe, and had no time to search for references due to the suddenness of this "emergency

After meeting with, and obtaining quotes from, 4 contractors, I chose Paul Zarubin and Mt. Lincoln Construction for my remodel project in Tahoe Donner. I renovated an above-garage "bonus" room, put in central heating, insulated and sheetrocked my garage, remodeled my 2 bathrooms, put in stone flooring throughout the house and remodeled part of our kitchen and upgraded our range/oven and microwave. Paul's quote was the best and he hit his budget (a few small change orders, notwithstanding). He is a good communicator, he's reasonable and I took many of his suggestions. As
