I am Jessica Strobel, owner and creative mind of Jessica Strobel Photography. Connecting with families and capturing real emotion is always my goal. I want you to feel joy, love and every other feel good emotion possible when you look at your photos. My sessions are laid back just like me. and take place in your home, my studio or one of the beautiful locations Minneapolis has to offer.
I wasn't always a "photographer". Truth is, I became even more obsessed with documenting my own story after I lost my father and had my first son, James. I worked with children for 17 plus years before I had James. With psychology and social work degrees I'd run programs for at homeless and risk-youth, interned with DHS and most recently ran a Montessori school.

Services
We love biking in our cargo bike, morning rides to the donut shop, hanging at Lake Harriet bandshell and staying at hotels with a pool. Like is simple and we like it that way nor are we hard to please. Our house is rarely clean and we 100% choose time together over a new project. My husband and I were much better parents before we had our own children.
Minneapolis is rich with beautiful destinations to take family, mommy and me, and maternity photography. Here are my top 10 Minneapolis Locations to take pictures at but by all means, this is NOT a complete list and is not in any specific order. I always have a couple of hidden gems I like to keep to myself!

Saint Paul is filled with beautiful parks, landscapes and historical building that are wonderful backdrops for family photography, engagement sessions, and maternity. Here are a few gems that I enjoy taking pictures at. The sister city to Minneapolis. Where do I start?!? There are so many hidden gems in St. Paul and if you love history, St. Paul will definitely have what you're looking for in terms of backgrounds.
You want pictures taken in Edina? Great- I got you covered. Edina has some beautiful backdrops that are simply perfect for a wide variety of photography sessions. Here are just a few of my favorites. This is a favorite spot for pre-prom fun. With the golf course, the ponds, the little bridges, and the greenery I have no shortage of perfect backgrounds when it comes to making your outdoor family photo ideas a reality.

We LOVE Jess. She makes family photos easy, fun, and most of all quick. She's great with all our kiddos ranging from newborn to 16 years old - and that's so important. Also, she is really easy to talk to about scheduling and getting the kind of photos we actually want - relaxed, fun, polished - but not staged or stale looking. The Cuthbert's will be back - several times a year!

I am such a huge fan of Jessica. Our family has worked with her for photos for the last 3 years and every time I am amazed at our photos. She knows how to work well with kids and make taking family photos fun. Not only that, she has a quick turnaround. I have never once regretted getting our precious moments documented with Jessica.

Our family has used Jessica Strobel Photography for the past four years to photograph our growing family, and we're always so happy with the sessions and the pictures. Jessie does especially well with kids--in our case, infants and toddlers--and we're always amazed when we see the proofs that she was able to create art out of somewhat uncooperative, energetic little ones. She works quickly and with a positive attitude, and the proofs and final images arrive within a few days of the session. Highly recommended--Jessie is an artist!
