Dr. Gaw strives to give his patients a beautiful smile that will last a lifetime. Dr. Gaw grew up in Gainesboro and graduated from Jackson County High School in 1969. He received his BS from David Lipscomb College in 1973 and went on to receive his DDS degree from University of Tennessee in 1978.

We believe our patients should have as much information as possible in order to make important, informed decisions regarding their oral health and treatment options.
At your first visit, Dr. Gaw will review your dental and medical history. We will also take any x-rays that are necessary. If you think you have recent x-rays taken by another dentist, you may request that your x-rays and files be forwarded to our office prior to your first appointment. Dr. Gaw will evaluate each tooth, your gums and the supporting bone.
You can expect soreness after a root canal procedure for a few days. You should avoid chewing on the side of your mouth where the procedure was performed so you do not irritate the area and also to ensure that the temporary restorative material properly sets. You will also need to take an antibiotic to treat any remaining infection in your tooth.
