It's often a new process for many of us to know how to find a psychologist that best fits our needs. When I was a kid I was forced to see lots of therapists, phycologosts, psychiatrists, etc. I always hated it and hated my doctors. I felt that they didn't understand the situation and I was in a very angry place emotionally. One was really good (Susan E. Dunham, who works with teenagers)
In my twenties I saw one last therapist, Edie Vajda. I don't know if it was because I am older and in a better situation, but my time with Edie was a much better experience. Instead of making me feel like everyone was against me, she helped my feel supported. She reassured me that I am perfectly fine

Dr. June sabotaged my marriage. After attending a few sessions of couples therapy, she had a 1-1 session with my husband wherein she told him that my views were too black and white, and did I really expect him to "...live like a monk?" She was supposed to help us reconcile after I discovered he had been cheating on me!

I can't believe what Cassie K. said about Edie. I'm actually appalled! My boyfriend and I have been seeing Edie for about two years and she has been a blessing to us. Another therapist couldn't tolerate the both of us fighting, and refused to see both of us together (we are rowdy and loud), but Edie has a special gift to calm situations. She also tells you straight (in a nice way). She has a keen insight and can get to the problem quickly. She is very articulate. She has taught us invaluable techniques and is very patient. We both obsess, and it takes time to learn these techniques

GOVA Counseling cares about all their patients. I have seen Dr. Edie for years, and she is an extremely caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate doctor. I suffered from depression after dealing with a death in the family (and a horrible break up) and she helped me through it tremendously. I always feel comfortable being completely honest and open with her, which she encourages in a very tender and uplifting environment. DR. EDIE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

Writing a review on yelp is like writing a love song. Whether I'm in love or hating on love, I'm inspired to write about it for all the world to hear my joy, my pain, jump on the bandwagon and give my fueled feelings validation and worth. The words that we speak of the businesses we visit are a part of our constitutional right, FREEDOM OF SPEECH we say! Together we can build businesses up or take them down! I say, reviews can be great but take them as you would take a review from a vegetarian eating at a steakhouse...opinions are just that. Bad reviews for Edie are just that.
