This probably the most challenging place I've lived so far. It's superficially nice and offers a couple of amenities like a pool, grilling areas. The apartments are spacious and have all the appliances you would like included. I lay out some cons who are personal and may not apply to others but I like to share them so you have a more complete impression before you sign a lease.
1. Unfortunately, the walls and flooring are paper thin which makes it hard to live a private life. We didn't caught this when we were touring. This is not exaggerating, it can be really hard to have constant

I live in building 5 and love the HIghlands Lodge. It is an incredible apartment and my surroundings are surreal. It is quiet and relaxing. When I sit on my balcony, I feel like I am at a lodge in the forest. In addition, Kelly is the best manager! She is responsive and really cares about the residents. Service at HL is awesome. They respond to requests on the same day. If you are looking for a get away apartment in the city, Highlands Lodge is the place!!!

Great place for 30-40 plus. Love having people my own age who are working professionals. Dog friendly community. Lots of great places to walk your dog and there is even a small enclosed off leash dog area. If you like to work out there is a small workout room but tons of trails and Roe Park is right behind the main apartments. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They do themed events and parties in the beautiful lodge area. The lodge also has a coffee bar and treats every day. Whole area surrounded by trees and vegetation. Quick access to highway!

Overall this is a decent apartment. I love how much space is available for what we pay. It is very beautiful and the grounds are decent (minus the pet wasted problem which is being handled). However there are some things to keep in mind: 1) It is advertised as a gated community and gates are present yet they don't work and haven't worked for a few months. All we are told is they are still working on it. I don't have my fingers crossed this will every be resolved. Just some very expensive decorations. 2) Noise is a big problem in each apartment. Doors slam at all hours of the day

I appreciate the challenge that is trying to appease tenants and their likes / dislikes, but a good place to start is providing services which are advertised. My approach to service is mention it, give a chance for rectification (repeat 3x), if not addressed write a review.
Security gates: are present but nonfunctional. Were working as of Feb 2016 and not since. I misplaced the security card, had to pay for replacement, a week later they were not working. Sheesh!
Light bulb replacement: originally stated they would replace, then they wouldn't, now they do. Important to offer with higher than

I lived at Highlands Lodge for a year. Highlands Lodge is superfically beautiful. The actual units, the pool area, and the lodge are all beautiful. I was the first person to live in my apartment and at the time the landscaping was amazing, a lot of the units were vacant, there was no top golf, and Leigh was a fantastic leasing agent. This all quickly changed:
1. The landscaping was let go for awhile
2. Top Golf came in and even with my windows closed (I was not facing Top Golf) I could hear the music and voices coming from Top Golf
3. As the units began to fill up I could hear every time the person

I'll start by saying that the previously written reviews of Highlands Lodge are petty, full of spelling and grammatical errors, and fail to take into account all of the perks of living here. I'm sure the reviewers really took the time to write those, and are probably sour about something they did wrong that they refuse to take the blame on.
I've lived here for three years, in three different floorplans, and in two different buildings. I've had a brand new unit, and units that have been lived in already. All of them have been absolutely excellent. The finishes are top-notch
