Our chiropractic clinic utilizes state of the art adjusting techniques, physiotherapy, rehab exercise and nutritional counseling to help our patients toward optimal health and wellness. Dr. Smith and Dr. deWitt are excited to provide these services for Hickory, Morganton and the surrounding communities.
Before I saw Doctor deWitt, I could hardly walk due to my lower back pain. After twelve treatments, I am able to walk straight and can play golf again. I can perform my work duties pain free. Dr. Stuart deWitt is a native of Hickory, North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate degree at Auburn University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology. Dr. deWitt first became interested in chiropractic care during college when he began seeing a local chiropractic physician for frequent headaches.
Allergies are often treated with chiropractic care. Many allergic and asthmatic reactions are caused by hypersensitivity of the immune system and/or respiratory system. Researchers have found that the immune and respiratory systems depend on normal communication from the brain and spinal cord to control and coordinate their functions.
Many chiropractors consider their role in caring for patients with asthma, especially those subject to severe attacks, as complementary to the medical management of the disease. Dr. Smith and Dr. deWitt perform regular spinal adjustments to make asthma sufferers more comfortable by helping relieve the muscle soreness and discomfort that can develop during asthmatic flare-ups.

This place is very professional and you're greeted with a smile everytime. I've always had slight back pain but my lower back really flared up after doing some yardwork. It hurt to bend and I was constantly eating Tylenol to relieve the pain. I came in to see Dr. DeWitt and he was very caring and professional. Within 48hrs, my issue was identified, options were given to me, and treatment started. Only after 3 weeks, my lower back pain became non existent and my posture has even improved. Unfortunately I ended my treatment early due to financial reasons. I would highly recommend Hickory Chiropractor

Absolutely love this place! Would highly recommend to anyone. Staff are very sweet and the doctors are very thorough when it comes to what guidelines need to be followed. I've been going for almost a month and the relief I feel in my back is amazing. I went in with no idea as to what was going on in my back and Dr. Smith sat down with me and was able to tell me exactly what was going on.
