Services
At Countryside Animal Clinic, we've been providing exceptional veterinary care to cats and dogs in both the Madison and Sun Prairie communities since 1983. We understand that pets are family which is why we treat every patient as if they were our own. You can trust us when we say that pet care is our passion.
Countryside Animal Clinic is a full service animal practice in the Madison and Sun Prairie communities, founded by Dr. Arlynn Schwanke in 1983. Our clinic has undergone changes and improvements throughout the years in keeping with the many ongoing advancements in veterinary medicine and changes to our surrounding communities.
Let Countryside Animal Clinic provide a professional veterinary exam for your kitten, puppy, cat, or dog. A physical exam is the smartest and easiest way to keep your pet healthy. Wellness exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.
At Countryside Animal Clinic, our goal is keeping your pet happy and healthy. Thanks to modern diagnostics and our on-site laboratory, we're able to do just that for sick and injured pets. Diagnostic imaging allows us to examine your pet's internal organs and body systems to better diagnose their conditions.
Dental care is an essential part of your pet's overall health. When oral hygiene is neglected, pets can develop dental disease which negatively affects other systems in the body and may lead to tooth loss. A pet's dental health is just as important as their physical health, however, it often goes overlooked.

We have been taking our dogs (and now cat that I inherited from my mother last year) there for a few years now. They have always been great with our animals. They are true animal lovers and care about our feelings too. I had to put our 16 year old Shepherd down a couple months ago and they were very considerate and caring in his final months as well as checking in with me after he was gone. I appreciated it. Photo is from our new girl Addie that just had her first vet visit last week.

Dr. Deb, and the assisting vet technicians, did a fabulous job with the surgeries, and overall care, of both of our two six month old Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler puppies yesterday. The procedures were very professionally done, and the aftercare was excellent! The staff who answer the phones at Countryside Animal Clinic were very helpful in answering, or checking with Dr. Deb and finding out answers to, my questions before, during, and after the surgeries. The pups are now recuperating very well at home. Thank you, Dr. Deb, and the Countryside staff!

I was very happy with the care and attention countryside gave my dog. I just changed over to them for some diagnostic work and they got the problem fixed on the first try. They were super kind and helpful! I could tell they were passionate about animal care and that’s what counts for me. The price was less than expected as well! I will be keeping them as my primary vet from now on. Thanks guys! My dog is doing better already and she hasn’t even finished her meds yet.

We had an excellent first visit with our dog, Luna. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating. Dr. Kelling was kind, welcoming, and very thorough with her answers to all of our questions. We’re happy to have found such a great team to help keep Luna in good health!

I've been going to Countryside Animal Clinic since the early 1990's over the lifteme of 3 dogs. Though I've had different Vets there over the years the Service and caring has always been well above average. Also their Fees are very reasonable. My current best friend Roxy (my dog) sees Dr. Taylor and I really like her. I highly recommend Countryside Animal clinic.

I've been using Yelp for years and have never written a review, but the team at Countryside Animal Clinic truly goes above and beyond in the care they provide.
Back in July, I brought home a sick 8-week old puppy, and Dr. Kelling was able to see us quickly, stabilize her in-office, and contact the local emergency veterinary hospital on my behalf. Her office reached out to the puppy's breeder and the breeder's vet autonomously to ensure they had all the necessary information to treat her.
Magnolia is now almost a year old and thriving thanks to the care of Countryside Animal Clinic

I have gone there for a few years with my dog. My dog has a heart murmur and they knew that. They cleaned his teeth 2 wks later he started to go into heart failure. The Dr. took some x-rays gave me some pills that seemed to make it worse. The Dr. also explained that is was not uncommon for a dog with a murmur to go into heart failure. If I was told that If i knew the symptoms and knew that I could of saved his life. Now he is on meds and might live for another yr. maybe 1 yr and 1/2 or he could die anytime. IF your pet has a heart murmur and you decide to have their teeth cleaned - KNOW
