A half hour inspection around 80k miles can reveal if your timing chain is stretching and how much life it has left. If we find it needs replacing, we can get it done for $1500, well under dealership pricing and much less than a new engine! In the market for new tires? Purchased a low-mileage (38k) Porsche 911 from them. The photos sent made it look perfect. Upon inspecting it at our shop, my tech called me and said "hey you need to come look at this before I go any further". There was excessive pitting on the front fenders and exposed rust, as well as front bumper damage and corroded parts underneath. I've purchased or inspected over a thousand Porsches and have never seen front fenders in that kind of condition. I have a 112k-mile 911 as a winter beater, currently covered in salt, and the front fenders are in far better condition and have zero rust.

Grateful to have found South Shore Autoworks! My dead car was towed to them on a Friday morning and they had me back on the road with a new battery later that day. Other places that I had contacted before them gave me a window of 2 weeks to even look at it and diagnose the problem. They were, kind, communicative and very fair. I'll definitely be back for regular maintenance.
