Dr. Borntreger was born and raised in St. Elmo. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Before attending Palmer, Dr. Borntreger completed his undergraduate studies at Eastern Illinois University and graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences.
At Precision Chiropractic, a consultation is a conversation, not a cheap examination or a high-pressure sales pitch far too common in the chiropractic profession today. Plan on sitting down with Dr. Borntreger and having a conversation about structure, function, health, and how we may be able to help you achieve your health goals.
Many traditional chiropractors focus on goals such as decreasing muscle spasm, increasing range of motion, and reducing pain, and most of them are very good at doing just that. This type of care falls under the umbrella of symptom relief/symptom management. This is a very Reactive type of patient care.
In healthcare, there are established normal values for many things. There is a standard for normal blood pressure, normal cholesterol, normal body temperature, etc. That doesn't mean that we expect everyone to have perfect measurements according to these values, but there are healthy ranges for people depending on their age and situation that we like to see people strive toward.
Once a Structural Shift is present and disrupting the spinal nerves, it can create many different Secondary Conditions - also known as symptoms. The reason these are called Secondary Conditions is because they are likely a result of the Primary Condition - the underlying cause. The location of the Structural Shift and where the nerves are disrupted can give us a clearer understanding of your Secondary Conditions.

Dr. Borntreger has changed my life. I’ve been his patient for about a month now. For my initial new patient evaluation, he really took the time to explain to me all the benefits of chiropractic. He was also concerned about my health, being that I am a heavy soda drinker. He strongly advised me to wean myself from my then-current 88 oz. of daily soda consumption. I’m happy to say that I’ve already cut it in half, and I’ve begun drinking water in place of it. That’s a big deal for me, because I barely drank any water at all, and I’ve been a Diet Mtn. Dew addict for 10 years.

I would give Dr. Kevin Borntreger at Precision Chiropractic way more than 5 stars if I could. I have seen numerous chiropractors over the past 6 years due to an unfortunate neck injury. This is by far the BEST chiropractor I have ever been to.

I'm so grateful that I must take a moment to thank and recommend Dr Solan and staff for health care. I have had some health issues that have been "plaguing" me for months. Dr Solan has been working diligently to help me with this lately and today, for the first time in a very long time, I am able to walk with a nearly normal gait and zero to very minute pain! Such a blessing and a gift to me that it brought tears of joy and a heart so greatful. A couple of the characteristics I appreciate about Dr. Solan - he is very knowledgable/ intelligent and seems to be practical when considering the patient
