Dr. Borntreger was born and raised in St. Elmo. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Before attending Palmer, Dr. Borntreger completed his undergraduate studies at Eastern Illinois University and graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences.

In healthcare, there are established normal values for many things. There is a standard for normal blood pressure, normal cholesterol, normal body temperature, etc. That doesn't mean that we expect everyone to have perfect measurements according to these values, but there are healthy ranges for people depending on their age and situation that we like to see people strive toward.
Secondary Conditions

Once a Structural Shift is present and disrupting the spinal nerves, it can create many different Secondary Conditions - also known as symptoms. The reason these are called Secondary Conditions is because they are likely a result of the Primary Condition - the underlying cause. The location of the Structural Shift and where the nerves are disrupted can give us a clearer understanding of your Secondary Conditions.
