Following a successful start to his career with established contractors and attaining MCIOB, Rob set up Greendale Construction Limited incorporating the company with co-founder Chris Kane in 1990. Since then Rob has, with the help of the Greendale team, guided and managed the planned growth of the business implementing strategic company policy to make Greendale a leading regional contractor in central Southern England.
Rob has a passion for historic conservation projects and is instrumental in making Greendale a well-respected and leading constructor in this specialist sector. Rob studied at Hertfordshire College of Building and trained in London with Y.J. Lovell before moving to Bournemouth in 1981 where he joined Ernest Ireland Construction [Mowlem Group] as a Site Manager.

Our work has included brand new doctors' surgeries, fit outs, new and refurbished wards, as well as specialist units such as pharmaceutical robotics. We are used to working in live environments around Healthcare professionals, service users and patients.
Greendale has been delivering construction services to customers in the Education sector for nearly 30 years. We understand the sensitive nature of working around students, staff and visitors and we tailor our services to minimise the impact of construction activity on the learning environment.
Education makes up a large percentage of our project base and previous projects have led us to Primary Schools, Nurseries, plus everything up to and including Higher Education level.We work closely with Local Authorities, Governing bodies, Private Estate Directors and Staff to deliver learning facilities that meet and exceed the needs of local communities in Dorset and Hampshire.
