Ideal Impressions was started by Ryan Bensheimer in 2005. Ryan attended the Art Institute in Chicago and worked as a commercial studio photographer for several years in Chicago. He continued his education at University of Wisconsin where he received a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and taught for 12 years.
Ideal Impressions Photography is always innovating and eager to share our latest accomplishments. It's a great chance to explore our photographer's approaches to creative storytelling. You'll be amazed at their inventive concepts and the diversity of images produced for each couple's special day! Ideal Impressions exceeded every expectation I had for wedding photography.
This is a very basic package. It probably is not enough for most but if your looking for simple or on a budget you get our award winning photography and rights to the images at a great price! We reserve the right within this package to choose a lead photographer based on availability and is subject to change.
Yes, you may view examples online. One of the best parts about our website is that you can see nearly every wedding we shoot. Yes, we are available to photograph weddings throughout the world but additional travel expenses will be incurred - travel costs quote available on request, or the Double Platinum package pretty much covers everything!

I can't even begin to express our never ending gratitude towards Ryan and his company Ideal Impressions! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding six years ago, and Ideal Impressions were the photographers at that wedding. I instantly fell in love with their work, and I knew when it was my time to get married they had to be my photographers! I contacted Ryan right when we got engaged, and Ryan has been phenomenal to work with! He took our engagement photos, and then when COVID-19 cancelled our wedding, he did a Coronavirus photo session for us! With both these sessions, Ryan's creativity was abundant! He

Scottie was absolutely amazing! Right from the start, he had a personality and energy that just made you feel comfortable and excited. We felt like we'd know him for years! He made the most boring part of the day for the bridal party so much fun. As we went around taking pictures with our bridal party, it was clear that everyone was not only enjoying themselves, but having a blast! Scottie exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We could not have asked for better quality pictures and outgoing personalities to capture the special moments of our wedding! Working with Scotty was so much fun and always upbeat! He is a wonderful photographer and the pictures came out stunning! The video was also an added bonus that we can't stop watching! Scottie and Brook did an amazing job at our wedding. They made us a well as our wedding party feel very comfortable. Scottie and Brook have a creative mind and their vision for certain photos turned out to be amazing pictures when all was said and done. We are very grateful that we went with Ideal Impressions Photography as we get compliments all the time on the quality of our wedding photos. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for high quality professional photos with people that are fun to spend the day with.

Heather and Gio were amazing photographers! So fun, so creative, and captured our day so beautifully! We couldn't have asked for better photographers and people to have with us. We could not say better things about Ideal Impressions and Scottie (our photographer) and Ryan. From the very beginning contacting them all the way until the the end of wedding night and beyond, they have been absolutely incredible and supportive and willing to go the extra mile for us! My biggest concern going in is that my husband and I wanted to keep it traditional and not see each other prior to the ceremony. Ryan and his colleagues at Ideal Impressions provided us with exactly what we were looking for in terms of a photographer and more. He was great to work with and was very accommodating considering my husband and I were traveling from Chicago for consultations with him and our engagement photos. By far the best photographer around and we have ever seen. Our guests were beyond amazed at the performance, professionalism, speed, and uniqueness ideal impressions offered. Our pictures were instant with filters on them to look outstanding and guests were able to see then that day and order them or download them within a day.
