I spent my first year out of college teaching in a small secondary school in Kitale, Kenya. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Elgon, I had time to think - to get away from my own expectations - and decide what to do with my life. In the end, there was something about the country, the people and the wildlife that caught my eye and my passion.
