J. Kou is the Founder, Owner, and President of Legacy Funeral Homes. He always had a passion for helping people through some of the most difficult time in their life, either that may be financially, physically, or emotionally. He does this through being "customer-focused", listening to their needs, concerns, and wishes and coming up with a solution that best fits their situation.
Before taking on the ownership of Legacy Funeral Home, he was a small business lender with NDC and later moved on to being a Commercial Banker. He also own of a wholesaler of Asian produce and products, grocery store, as well as a real estate company. He never shied away from any opportunity to listen, learn, and assist people with their issues, especially, when it comes to the Hmong Community.

The West Chapel of Legacy Funeral Home is a 10,000 square feet facility that includes a kitchen, dining hall, visitation room, and a family room with a private bathroom that includes a shower for the family's personal use. The facility also includes ample off-street parking, an overflow lot and limited on-street parking.
Legacy Funeral Home is happy to offer you many different types of caskets to meet your needs. We have caskets from THWJ SUAB veneer to all American-oak caskets. Our caskets do not have any metal parts in them. They are designed to fit property into our standard or oversize burial vault. Legacy Funeral Home also offers a full line of traditional caskets through Northwestern Casket Company.
The Long Cheng vault is made of concrete. The Long Cheng top is beveled on the sides and flat on the top to represent a house roof. This is an outer burial container that does not have a bottom, allowing a natural casket to be placed directly onto the Earth. The Phou Bia vault is made of concrete. The top of the Phou Bia vault is peaked to represent the mountains of Laos.
All burial vaults offered below by Legacy Funeral Home are supplied by Brown-Wilbert, Inc. Vaults will vary in cost depending upon the type of lining and reinforcement. Cover and base reinforced with high-impact ABS plastic and strong corrosion - resistant stainless steel. This preemie burial vault/casket combination features a satin interior with a sunburst design in the cover.
