Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Russell Cain, who is a licensed, experienced Overland Park veterinarian. Dr. Russell Cain is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. He completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University in Miami in 2000 and received his doctorate of veterinary medicine from Kansas State University in 2011. Following graduation, he went on to work for a high--volume, no--kill animal shelter in Kansas City.

We at Deer Creek Animal Hospital in Overland Park KS have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet. We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.

Dr. Cain is a really good guy to have put up with me while he was taking care of my cat. He never treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about nor did he act like my pet wasn't worth his time even though it was a bit of an emergency visit.
The technicians are there to legitimately help you and not just be gatekeepers, they were also quite caring and understanding people.

Both Dr. Cain and Dr. Baird are amazing doctors. They have cared for all of my animals for the past 7 years and I have always been pleased with how much consideration and care they put into every concern I have with my pets. They both have the biggest hearts and a large range of knowledge that I know for a fact my animals are getting top notch care. I will never take my animals to a different vet ever again!

Dr. Cain and Dr. Baird are both excellent vets! They are both compassionate, patient, and have a good intuition for when to be conservative or aggressive with treatments. Prices are good and they don't nickel and dime you like some clinics. Staff is also very nice and accommodating. I'm incredibly grateful for all they have done for me and my kitties!

Deer Creek Animal hospital deserves more than 5 stars! Dr. Cain has been caring for our 14 plus year old maltese (Wilson) for years and to say we felt cared for, supported and loved through Wilson's life is an understatement. I honestly don't think I have been met with anything but love and kindness with Dr Cain and his staff. . Everyone from the person answering the phone to the technicians to the doctors are wonderful. We were frequent fliers at Deer Creek between visits at the end of our pups life in his senior years to grooming appointments with Tammy who is the absolute best!! We always felt
