Ocean front and ocean view properties and homes for sale on the Mendocino Coast in Northern California. Irish Beach was originally a sheep ranch and was purchased in the early 1960s by the late William Moores Sr, a lumberman from Ukiah, CA. His ambition was to establish a second home development on the Mendocino Coast, reminiscent of his early life on the Oregon Coast.
More than 60 years later, my father's vision has been realized as Irish Beach has become not only a second home development, but also the permanent residence for many, many families from near and far. We remain the original developers of the Irish Beach community and know about every square inch of every property in Irish Beach.

Hi Irish Beach lovers! There is a new place coming up soon, a 2.5 bed, 2 bath 1500 sq ft home that has been completely remodeled upstairs (downstairs is separate) This home is on the east side of Hwy 1, but is sitting on top of a gulch that allows you ocean views and sound. These are only a few of the pics. It should be ready to rent by August 1st. Look for it on VRBO or maybe at Irish Beach Rentals (Just tried calling them and number disconnected!)

We rented the Cali Villa over the Thanksgiving week. The house had not been cleaned. All the towels were used and in piles in all the bathrooms. The linens were still on the beds and the downstairs toilet had been used and not flushed. After driving 5 hours with dogs we slept on the living room floor. The next day was Thanksgiving and the office was not open. We returned the keys the following morning and was told we would get a refund for the days we we did not stay. They did not refund our money! BEWARE

There are many vacation rentals in the Irish Beach, Manchester area and we spent our vacation there for the last two years. We planned on staying this year too, but wow it was too much work and time just to reserve a place these days. It seems like a lot of the properties are being managed by a vacation rental office or something and you don't really make contact with the owners, just the property managers. I prefer the old way. Trying to reserve our vacation home took quite a few emails, and receiving 4-5 phone calls, this happened 3 days after booking online, only to find out they do not accept

-5 if there is one. The $400/night 'villa' was in reality an unfinished construction project with unkempt weed covered yard, cracked stairways, dirt floor and bare stud closets, spider and bed bug infestation (bite marks still visible three months after the stay), dirty gooey gunk on dishes, not enough sheets/covers, chipped cups and cheap furnitu unacceptable to thrift shops. Pillows and sheets reeked with body odors from previous uses, inflatable plastic bed in the closet touted as queen size bed, non-functioning/rusty showers and clogged drains, and a worn out old hot tub abundantly filled with
