Doug is an experienced trial lawyer and advocate with a particular emphasis in family law, civil litigation and criminal defense matters. As a family lawyer, he has represented a wide range of clients in nearly every type of situation, including, complex and simple divorces, custody disputes, contentious move away proceedings, modification of child support and custody cases, contempt actions and restraining/protective order proceedings.
I retained Doug Lewis to represent me on a contempt issue related to my ex-spouse's refusal to adhere to the provisions set forth in our final divorce decree. I hired Doug after reading multiple reviews and I am very glad I did; I've had bad experiences with lawyers in the past. Poor representation and lack of desire to address ALL of his own client's requests. I attained Doug for adjustments to my original divorce decree handled by another attorney. Doug ignored 2 of 3 of my requests for a YEAR until the final day of court. I laid out for Doug 3 straight-forward items to address, in this order of priority. (1) Adjust my Child Support due to my estimated income being half of what it was (2) Ask for removal of a 10-yr $250k life insurance policy requirement based on my current financial position (I have since filed bankruptcy), and (3) Ask my ex-wife to explain

I retained Doug after firing my old attorney. I really wish I would've found him sooner. His professionalism and communication was above the rest. It took him 2 weeks to handle make and my old attorney over a year with no movement. It just goes to show that when you have an attorney like Doug in your corner he will work for you.

I would highly recommend Doug Lewis. My son got a speeding ticket for going 25 miles over the speed limit. He worked quickly to get it reduced and avoid losing his license and gaining points that would have cost us a fortune on our insurance. Doug was informative, professional and understands the stress that these situations cause parents. I would highly recommend Doug Lewis to anyone in need of legal assistance. When my minor son got two tickets in a 12 month period, his license was immediately suspended for 6 months. Mr. Lewis was able to negotiate a deal to reinstate his license without us ever having to appear in front of the judge. My son was only without driving privileges for 2 weeks.
