Mr. Claud A. Morrison established this CPA practice in 1951. After serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII, Mr. Morrison attended the University of Alabama, graduated and moved to Spartenburg, South Carolina where he worked as an accountant and passed his CPA exam, Certificate No. 120. He then moved to Tuscaloosa, AL and had to take the CPA exam again, Certificate No. 223, and began his practice in what is now Morrison and Smith.
Stuart A. Hartley is a 2008 graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Accounting, and has been with Morrison & Smith, LLP since 2012. He is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Stuart began his career working in the accounting department of Heery International in Atlanta, GA.
