Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.
Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. Very kind with us, caring and flexible❤️🙏🏽 We are blessed to find a place that really cares about us and helping us get through the difficulty that is is losing a loved one. They accommodated sending my father and aunt to Puerto Rico a month apart of their passings and were fine with us having a funeral service at our home church. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for everything!

I highly recommend Cruz-Sojka Funeral Home to manage your love ones final care. This is my first time dealing with funeral homes but Edwin, the funeral director, has been very kind, helpful and patient with me. He kindly explained the different services he provided and answered my questions. The funeral home is clean and cozy. They allowed 10 people max. during the visitation and allowed people to rotate in and out. They have wifi, a monitor where I used to play a video I made for my mom. We live-streamed a brief memorial service. They provided an ipad-stand and a bluetooth speaker so that we could

Amazing experience. Everything we could have hoped for. Edwin and his family were very accommodating, understanding, and helpful. They went above and beyond to help us finish last minute decorations, provided us with extra easels and allowed us to spend as much time as we needed with our brother after the guests had left. There was plenty of street parking and a parking lot across the street. This family owned business made us feel as though we were a part of their family. Highly recommend!

And funeral homes! It's part of life and you especially want to rely on a good first hand review when deciding on this type of business.
Edwin did a great job - its all about the details. I have a picky cousin who wanted everything perfect and contacted him numerous times. My mom outlived all her friends and so we skipped the viewing at the funeral home and had a visitation before the mass at church. Edwin did a fantastic job - its all about the details, including a nice Polish-English mass and Polish speaking funeral director.

Edwin was absolutely amazing - he was so very helpful and so professional. He thought of everything and made the process of preparing my husband for his final resting place run smoothly. At such a difficult time my mind was not in the right state and even thinking about service arrangements was difficult, but Edwin was there to think of it all & help take care of all the details. He didn't pressure or rush me when I was making the necessary decisions, he provided his input when I needed it, and helped to guide me in the right direction - on everything from flowers to luncheon arrangements
