Indy Paws Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital located on the East Side of downtown Indianapolis. Our hospital has proudly served Indianapolis and the surrounding communities since it first opened its doors in 1999. Thanks to the continued support from our community, our veterinary hospital has been able to continuously grow and expand.
Dr. Kiersten Wiley acquired the hospital in 2017 after 11 years of ownership under Dr. Angela Smith. Our name changed from Emerson Pet Clinic to Indy Paws Animal Hospital to better represent our scope. At Indy Paws Veterinary Hospital, we know that being entrusted with the care of your four-legged family member is an important responsibility.

Services
If your pet needs medical care, we are proud to provide a wide range of services to diagnose and treat your pet family. At Indy Paws, we know that emergencies can be scary for you and your pet family. Dr. Wiley was born and raised northwest of Indianapolis. She grew up with a fascination of animals; her first word was bird. Her interest in veterinary medicine never swayed as she pursued her career. Dr. Wiley spent 8 years at Purdue University earning her undergraduate and doctorate degrees. She began her practice as a Veterinarian in Eastern North Carolina and is excited to be back home in Indiana.
Holly joined Indy Paws as our full time practice manager after spending much of her career in human healthcare leadership. She is excited to join Dr. Wiley and the Indy Paws family in serving the furry families of the Near Eastside. While not originally from Indy, Holly has lived on the East side for over a decade and considers it home.
Preventive care is one of the most important aspects of maintaining your pet's health. Starting from a young age, it is important to develop a relationship with our veterinary health care team. This allows us to know your pet's history and identify potential health concerns before they become serious.
Vaccination is one of the easiest and inexpensive ways to protect your pet's health. Vaccinations can be placed into 2 general categories: core (recommend for all pets) and non-core (recommended based upon lifestyle). Our staff believes in individualized vaccination plans: we will discuss your dog's lifestyle, environment and travel to help tailor a plan that makes sense for your pet.

I had a great experience at this Vet's office. My regular Vet did not have any openings to get our new puppy in for her shots. They gladly scheduled her in for the next day. Everyone from the front office, to the Vet and Everyone in between were extremely nice and very helpful. If I didn't already have a Vet that I had been using for years, I would definitely go here. Highly recommend!

I needed a new vet for my girl, Kiki Mia and we were warmly welcomed at Indy Paws. I have taken her twice so far and they give her the best of care. Everyone has been friendly, knowledgeable and professional, from the front desk to the doctors.

After years of avoiding it, I finally took my terrier in to have his teeth cleaned. I was very nervous to put my dog under anesthesia, but the staff were so kind and reassuring and took wonderful care of my little guy on his big day. It’s obvious everyone there cares about what they do & enjoy working with animals, even antsy dogs like mine! He’s been going to Indy Paws since he was pup & I wouldn’t dream of taking him elsewhere!

Our fur family have been patients at Indy Paws for years and we are often frequent flyers, due to an ornery German Shepherd Dog, and several other fur balls who have some health conditions. Dr. Wiley and staff are amazing!! They always find time to get us in for emergencies and they also take care of our fur fam's routine check-ups/shots. We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Wiley and all the staff at Indy Paws! They truly care about their patients and it shows!
