At Stone & Sullivan, LLC, we believe that these end-of-life decisions apply to just about everyone. Anyone who cares about the people closest to them does well to consider an estate plan because they want to Protect Loved ones & Assets Now- what we call a P.L.A.N. An estate plan is a collection of documents that direct your loved ones in managing your affairs once you are unable to do so due to death, incapacity, or disability.
Clients are at the center of everything we do. Small estates or large. Complex estates or simple ones. If we do our job, at the end of the estate planning process, you will know how your P.L.A.N.TM provides purpose, direction, and control over your legacy. After all, the documents we create together belong to you.
Probate is a process that occurs after a person dies. At some point, most estates go through the probate process. The type of probate process required depends on the type of estate plan in place (or not, as the case may be). The probate process is overseen by a specific court - the Probate Court.
To ensure that property and other assets, including real property (i.e., houses and land) are properly transferred after death, it is important to consult with an attorney who can help you understand the process and strategize the most efficient way to distribute your loved one's things. The first step in the probate process is to locate the decedent's will.

Julia and her team were there for me and my family when I needed them the most. She explained the legal jargon in terms I could understand. I felt like the school system had the upper hand and were strong arming my child into a situation that would have been detrimental to him. Julia and her team made the field equal and we finally had a voice. She treated us like family and got us a great outcome. I would recommend Stone and Sullivan to everyone!

We hired Stone and Sullivan after we felt our son was not receiving fair treatment or adequate resources from his school or the district. Julia Sullivan was wonderful. She stood her ground against the school and district, refusing to let him be shuffled off to an "alternative" school. She educated us on our son's rights and protections, and even seemed to take a personal interest in our son's well-being and how he was fairing in the system. She went out of her way to direct me to resources to help me learn to advocate for my son and his needs and provide me sources of information to continue to
