Dr. John Hoover is a Doctor of Medicine who practices primary care in Miami, Florida. A 2003 graduate of the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Dr. Hoover completed his residency in Family Medicine at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. Dr. Hoover was promoted to Chief resident during his training at Tallahassee memorial hospital in 2005.
He is currently an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Paola Coronado, APRN is the newest addition to the Healthcare Now team. She was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia and moved to the United States at age seven. She initially studied nursing at Miami Dade college. She then continued her studies and received her Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Barry University.
There are many great ways to prevent pregnancy until you are ready. We want the best for you and therefore we offer a variety of choices, each with its own specific benefits. We do circumcisions on babies less than 1 month old and kids and adults over the age of 13. Yes of course, in fact, the vast majority are done for cosmetic reasons. With every patient, we carefully perform the procedure, so that not only it is done correctly, but so the result looks great! The foreskin is removed and the two edges are closed with dissolvable stitches.
As we are able to screen for cervical cancer, HPV (the virus that causes cervical cancer), many infections (including sexually transmitted diseases) and many other problems and treat them early before any problems arise. The Pap smear or "Papanikolaou" was invented in the early 1900s by Dr. Georgios Papanikolaou.

I was first recommended this doctors office by my partner. The first time I went the care was good they took their time with us and I was very pleased. I was especially pleased with Ada the medical assistant she was able to successfully draw my partners blood. After that visit I was excited to go back. After a few months passed I made an appointment for a check up. And the care changed. I am still not sure if the management changed or if the front desk girls changed but I know there was a shift in service. Every time I would call they would keep me on hold or hang up on me. Called in with an urgent request for a refill and the receptionist read my perscription and proceeded to tell me that I didnt need anymore to treat my condition. She is not a medical professional nor qualified to give her opinion. She was very demeaning and almost laughing at my desperation. I asked to speak to a manager and she refused.

This is our second time here. Had an appointment at 1230. Arrived at 12 so that we weren't late. An HOUR later we were still there waiting. Apparently there was only one provider for this location and they were behind. What's the point of an appointment? Unless you have nothing else to do but sit ion a doctors office all day find some other place.

My husband had a vasectomy procedure on June 22, he is still in pain and trying to get in contact with Dr. John Hoover for more than 3 days already. The person answering the phone keep telling him that the dr will call him back, but this never nobody called him. Really unprofessional. At least he should call him back.

Went here for a general checkup which was fine, went again for my well women's exam and got a bill for $320!!! I read this under other reviews, but decided to move forward seeing that I have seen them previously. What on earth did they even test for and why wouldn't they mention the costs? Absolutely criminal!!!

This office has a third world mentality and the attitude to match. I went for a well woman checkup and ended up with a $350 bill, because this office billed incorrectly and ordered additional tests without my consent. After months of back and forth, the insurance company and lab agreed that the mistake originated from the provider, who "refuses to correct the coding" and doesn't even return their calls. I've never dealt with such a nasty doctor's office before, where they're more concerned with proving they're right than correcting their mistakes.

My husband is such a big baby; he freaks out when it comes to blood and needles. I can honestly say I'm super impressed on how well the vasectomy went. Dr. Hoover and my husband were having conversation and joking during the whole procedure. No complications. My husband said it was virtually painless and had nothing but positive things to say. Super clean facility. Friendly & courteous staff. 5 stars is not enough for the excellent patient care they provided.

I truly dont understand these negative reviews, i am extremely picky about doctors as well as customer service as ive always worked in a customer service roll and expect the best. Well they are the best. Not only do they have walk in appointments available which ive never seen in any other practice ive been at, whenever i do make an appointment i get there on time 5 minutes later im in a room waiting for a doctor. The worst of the worst they totally are all about collecting the buck and not caring about the patient. Went for Covid testing six weeks later no results. Spent six days in the hospital as a result of the malpractice.
When I called to complain that they overcharged by insurance they finally gave me the results by the way your positive for Covid.
Dr. Notify your insurance carrier that a malpractice claim is heading over.

By far the absolute best place I’ve been for healthcare.Dr Hoover is freaking amazing and the staff makes you feel like family.....lovely atmosphere.I was extremely nervous but Dr Hoover and his assistant calmed my nerves and my procedure(circumcision) went terrific and i can’t tell you how happy i am after seeing my beautiful member 👍🏾.Please visit their website and if you need any procedure i highly recommend healthcare now Dr Hoover and staff!!!!! I have always hated going to the doctor. But the experience I had with the staff, nurse, med student and Dr. Hoover was incredible. They were thorough and although to other it may have seem overkill or the ole “charge insurance as much as possible” it really wasn’t, it was all absolutely necessary. Thank you everyone here for Being friendly and thank you Doctor for having great bed side manners.

Had my vasectomy done 3 weeks ago, recovery went a little more than a week, but when I needed to ask questions I called after hours and got Dr. Hoover with an Ipad to check out the surgery site. My experience with him was great, as my wife and I were there during the 15 minutes procedure. This was my first surgery ever and Dr. Hoover was both a gentleman and very professional trying to calm us both, as he felt we were nervous at the end. His facility is brand new, very clean, and his staff very professional. After lots of research before procedure, I found his price super affordable and would recommend

Dr. Hoover and ALL of his staff are amazing! He was a doctor in the Baptist Urgent Cares but now only practices in his office. I switched from my original PCP to him over 2 years ago and I'm glad I did.
His office smells and looks clean. His front desk staff is very friendly and will happily answer any question you have. They call you back quickly if you have a phone conversation and they even get paperwork completed quickly.

I do not go to the doctor often, luckily very healthy.
The few times I have gone, it's always been straight to the point. Long wait to see the doctor. When you finally see him they ask...What are you here for? They check you and get you out the door as quick as possible.
Dr. Hoover's office was a complete 180 degree turn.
The staff was very friendly and polite and they were on time for my appointment. Dr Hoover was amazing, he made me feel very comfortable and answered all the questions I had. Made me feel as if he truly cared.

Dr. Hoover is a great physician who really cares for his patients. He gives the kind of one on one attention and takes the times to listen and convey information that seems to be a lost art nowadays among providers. Office is extremely clean and the staff are great. Could not recommend it any higher.
