In 1985, Ron Behrens started Ron's Auto Repair when he noticed that there was a need for a professional auto repair shop in La Grange TX. Besides, Ron, with his stepson Steven, began building a heavy wrecker to service the increasing large truck traffic and accidents in the area. After a while, he added Large Truck and Diesel Repair.

True Southern hospitality- I was in a bad jam. The load on my truck shifted and seemed as not much could be done. Bradley showed up from Ron’s Auto and not only fixed my problem, but hung around enough to help me and directed me to a store who carried a desperately needed ratchet. These pos's towed my car and caused 1,888$ worth of damage. When contacted after I had my mechanic confirm it was due to improper towing they denied everything and said they aren't liable for damages. My car was fine when brought in .completely jacked when I got it back. If your okay with people who don't own up to their own mistakes by all means take your car to Ron's. But you might need a lawyer

Since moving to the area about a year ago, we’ve had two vehicles requiring work. The front office folks as well as Mike, the main individual who has handled our cars, have been absolutely wonderful! DO NOT GO WITH HIM!! He will rip you off. I took my diesel truck to fix the turbo. He intentionally cut wires from the truck to cause a short circuit in the alternador. Honest people won't do that. It's very disappointing people who call themselves mechanics intentionally provoke problems and still get paid very good money.

My husband and I were 11 hours into our 12 hour moving trip when the tire on our U-haul truck blew out. We called the U-haul roadside assistance number and they dispatched Ron's to our rescue. Help arrived within an hour and our tire was quickly replaced. A big thank you to Mike for helping us and turning what could have been a timely setback into an easy fix. We are grateful!

Great place to get your tires and auto's fixed. The other tire shop in town is expensive and rude, guess they made plenty they don't need the little folks business anymore but not Ron's reasonable top quality services and they truly appreciate your business! Out of owners relax, call Ron's you won't be taken advantage of they will treat you right!

We have a 1988 Holiday Rambler Class A Motor Home. After reading some great reviews we decided to make an appointment and head over to La Grange and give them a try. We were not disappointed.
They dove right into an oil leak, cleaning the area to isolate and determine the EXACT issue. This leak that "others" had thought might be a rear main seal turned out to be an easily accessible seal that was quickly replaced.
Honesty...Competence...Knowledge. The three things that make up a great automotive repair business. Ron's has it all + one more, courtesy.

Traveling from Austin to Houston, my car started making an alarming noise. I went to Yelp to find a repair shop, found Ron's, called and explained my situation. The receptionist said 'Sure, we'll slip you in and get your car on the rack - come on in.'
When I arrived it was obvious they were busy but, just as I had been told, they quickly made time, took me for a test drive, diagnosed the problem, provided a temporary fix to get me to a dealership in Houston, and sent me on my way - fast. Great people, great attitude, great customer service!

Without going into too much detail, let's just say that I haven't had the best luck as of late... My luck totally turned around when I found Ron's Auto Repair Shop while driving from Austin, TX all the way to Miami, FL. My bumper was almost completely dragging by the time I made it to Ron's. From the first employee that held the door open to the receptionist and my new friend, Steve, everyone was nothing but cordial and helpful.

We had a break down in our RV. Once it sat for a bit we could drive a little further. Sat in the hot sun at International repair for over 3 hours then called Ron's. They were like a breath of fresh air. Helped us immediately understood our situation and did EVERYTHING in their power to help us out.
