I founded Above Massage, in 2006, after teaching high school chemistry and science for 31 years. As a baby boomer, I recognized that many people were looking for an alternative to prescriptions and surgery that the world of massage offered.
After completing massage therapy training with 675 hours, I added continuing education classes in Lomi lomi (Hawaiian massage), Advanced Deep Tissue, Thai, Active Isolated Stretching, Craniosacral Therapy levels 1 and 2 (Upledger), Somatoemotional Release 1 and 2(Upledger) and Lymphatic Drainage Therapy 1 and 2(IAHE).As a result of a major accident recovery, I learned first-hand how one can direct the body's healing processes.

For more than 10 years, I suffered from chronic neck and back pain. I tried medication and physical therapy, but they only provided temporary relief. As the conditions in my neck and back continued to deteriorate my days were filled with constant pain. This affected my ability to do many things. I had given up on ever getting any long term relief from my symptoms until I sought treatment from Jane Edmonson.
