Matthew joined the firm in November of 2012. His practice emphasizes Estate Planning & Probate, Guardianships & Conservatorships, Business Law, Real Estate, and other aspects of property law. He has an Economics degree from the University of Colorado and a Juris Doctorate from the Washington & Lee University School of Law.
Mr. Berne strives to provide practical and efficient counsel to his clients. Mr. Berne's practice includes a range of complex to simple business matters, including business structuring, business sales, business acquisitions, construction law, landlord-tenant law, real estate transactions, trademark and intellectual property law, estate planning, and litigation related to all such issues.
Originally from southern Wisconsin, Wilton ventured to Boulder for his undergraduate degree before returning to the Midwest to attend law school at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He and his wife Alyssa headed west soon after graduation and lived in Frisco for 7 years in before moving to Glenwood Springs with their son, Oliver, in 2018.
Pilar Grabe Office Manager Pilar has been in the valley for 21 years. She started as a paralegal with KNH in 2015 and was promoted to Office Manager in 2017. Before coming to KNH she worked as a administrative assistant at Kerst & Strautman for nearly 10 years. When Pilar is not in the office you can find her on the golf course or spending time with her son.
