Cintar became incorporated in Pennsylvania in March of 1983 as an Engineering Firm. We were first located in Downtown Pittsburgh at 907/909 Penn Avenue with our offices residing on two floors. Our first projects were in the Steel, Heavy Industrial and Material Handling Industries.
Because the economic conditions in 1983 were quite depressed, our business plan was to develop relationships with companies that, in some cases, eliminated their Engineering Departments as cost reductions.They contracted Cintar to support their engineering needs on an as-needed basis. Many of our first projects with these clients were Feasibility Studies and Conceptual Engineering Reports (CERs), services we still provide today.

Although Cintar has the technical capabilities and rsum usually associated with larger engineering firms, we are able to maintain the flexibility, adaptability, affordability, and personal service that only small firms can provide. Cintar is a very cost-conscious engineering firm. Therefore, we always strive for the most cost-effective method of engineering the project or finding the solution to the problem.
