I have been a professional photographer since the age of 14, had my first solo exhibition at the age of 17 and sold my first photograph to Leo Burnett Advertising at 18. I spent years working with advertising agencies on many prominent ad campaigns and have won my share of awards. I was married to the most beautiful, talented person in the world for more then forty seven years, Andrea Harris.
Her memory and her legacies will live on in her children, her artwork and the loving memory of her many friends. We have two grown sons and an amazingly talented, bright grandson, Dylan. I am a techno geek when it comes to photography and Photoshop. I always have the latest digital camera, computer (Mac) and lights.

All above Premium Portrait Sessions include six Digital Photographs. You may purchase all digital photographs we shoot for an additional $135. You may also purchase prints from me or wherever you choose and additional, individual digital photographs are $7.50 each. You may purchase all digital photographs for an Additional $150.

Bart Harris Photography was a most enjoyable experience. I had my 18 month old baby’s pictures taken and I could not be happier with the photos. He took his time and captured her personality in every photograph. I was able to look at every image he took and chose what I wanted on my own time without having to rush and make a quick decision. I have already scheduled an appointment to have my 3 month old baby’s photographs taken. I would highly recommend Bart Harris Photography.

When asked about doing newborn photographs, in a very unprofessional email response back, Mr. Harris made me feel like a guilty mom for wanting newborn photos during a pandemic stating that it “intellectually and emotionally sickens him” even though his website said “safely open during the COVID-19 pandemic.” I understand the severity of the pandemic (I’m a nurse after all), but I also know how fast time goes by with a new baby and only want to capture some of those fleeting moments, which can safely be done with proper sanitizing and safety measures. Therefore, my rating is due to the

Bart did the photos for my first Airbnb. I needed better photos and hired him. Wow. He is the best photographer I have ever used. I am a realtor who needs good photos to help sell the homes. This time I needed to get more bookings for the Airbnb. He came out a number of times to get the perfect lighting since it has been raining a lot and then to do all the inside photos. He added the flag to the flagpole which made all the difference. He worked countless hours on the photoshop. I got so much more than I expected. Bart Harris Photography was a great experience for my son, daughter-in-law and me. Mr Harris took his time with it. He spent 4 hours and made 652 photos of us, including specialty photos of me in my regalia (native American outfit) my son and daughter-in-law with their dog, family photos and mother and son photos. It was a great experience for all of us and we have photos that will be treasured for decades.

This review is long overdue. Bart took pictures of our Grandson earlier this year. We still get compliments about the pictures and feel we could not have had a better photographer and photo shoot.
He is Amazing. His work is upper end to perfection. His knowledge and expertise show in the detail of his work and dedication to getting the shot. I know we are slightly biased, but our grandson's pictures looked like we have a baby celebrity. Bart has the skill and patience to work with infants and the adults alike. We used Bart to take our newborns pictures for our announcements. Bart made it easy by knowing exactly how to create the best possible shots. He had a ton of props and was able to recommend diff ideas for us to bring with us. What I really liked about Bart is that he doesn't put a time limit but rather spend the time to make sure we were satisfied and get a ton of options. He was so personable and loved that he is a perfectionist. It really showed in the post processing. He was so easy to work with and very prompt on getting the images. I would highly recommend using Bart Harris.

We had to wait until 8 weeks to do our newborn photos. Bart was very accommodating and helpful during the process.

Bart was awesome and the photos look amazing! Our 3 week old was a not the most cooperative during the shoot, but Bart really knows what he is doing and made us feel at ease with his professionalism and patience. His prices are very reasonable and well worth it for the quality and quantity of images we received. There is a private area in his studio for nursing mothers and I was able to view some of the images he was editing during feeding breaks. I cannot recommend Bart enough.

5 Stars are not enough for Bart. I have had the fortunate pleasure of working with different photographers, in different contexts for a few years now. Bart has been the absolute best PERSON I have ever worked with. After shopping around for Chicago photographers for our newborn, Bart was the clear choice in both price and customer service right from the get-go. When I first called him with questions he was on the phone with me for almost a half hour, taking his time to answer all my questions, and sent me an email that night with follow-up info. Most photographers request a session within 2 weeks of birth but Bart asked for our daughter to be at least 4 weeks before we came in and we are so happy we followed his advice as her chubby cheeks were in full glory!

Bart is such a great photographer very professional and extremely patient. My husband and I took our 4 week old son to get pictures taken it was the best experience ever. I would recommend it to anyone who has a new born. The pictures were great we will be returning for our six month picture and our one year!

What an amazing experience! Bart was professional, patient and went over and beyond in making sure I was completely satisfied with my pictures. He took time to adjust lighting and back drop on several occasions to make sure he captured the best shots. He also took time to review the pictures with me to ensure I was happy with the results. My husband and I picked Bart to do our son's newborn shoot based on the recommendation of a friend, and we were not disappointed! Bart took his time (about 8 hours!) to capture all the moments we wanted and more. He was very invested in giving us an excellent product, and seemed to have endless patience in working with our family. It was altogether a fantastic experience and we plan on using Bart again for future photo shoots.

We had a GREAT photo shooting experience for my 3-month old boy with Bart! He was professional, patient, and enthusiastic. Our little one was being fussy the whole time and wouldn't get sleepy. I almost gave up around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, but Bart insisted on taking baby-sleeping pictures. He said once you see the work you will understand that it was worth the wait. He was RIGHT! Those photos are so adorable! Although it took 3 hours for my baby to fall asleep and I fed my baby three times during the photo shooting, Bart was sooooo patient and supportive!

Bart is the best there is at portrait photography - he has a knack for capturing the perfect instant of a candid moment, which is not easy to do with children and babies. His lighting, set-ups and props are first-rate and make everyone look their best. He's also really good at photoshop! :) We are so grateful that Bart could capture this moment in time for our family and we are thrilled with all of the photos. The best part is how much FUN we had taking them!

Bart Harris photography gave us an amazing newborn pictures of our little bundle of joy! Bart was phenomenal to work with, his patience is truly admirable and very necessary when dealing with newborns. He gave us detailed instructions prior to the shoot and provided so many cute props and outfits for the shoot. He is so passionate about his work and it shows through his photos. Bart couldn't have impressed my wife and me more. We chose him for our then (August 2015) newborn photo shoot. He was organized, professional and patient. He was not only one of the more affordable options, but he spent a full day with us as opposed to the other photographers who charge a premium for a 2 hour session. As you can imagine, in order for the photographer to take various unique shots, they need more than 2 hours (just some advice from a customer's perspective). We actually may contact him next August for his 1-year old photos. I would obviously recommend Bart Harris to anyone

We just received our pictures from Bart and I had to write a review. Bart Harris is one of the best photographers that I have ever met. From the start, Bart was so patient with our schedules and made sure to fit us into his busy schedule. At the studio, Bart was calm and patient throughout the entire session as we tried to calm our baby to sleep. Bart never made us feel rushed and literally stayed with us until he had optimal shots of our newborn (almost four hours). He is fantastic with kids and it is evident in his demeanor and work.

Believe the hype. Bart was incredibly patient with our newborn son and waited until the time was just right to take a series of stunning photos. The results were a snapshot of time that we'll treasure for a lifetime.
