Relationship counseling can teach you valuable skills that you can use not only with your spouse or partner but with your friends and family, too. If you are overwhelmed with challenges, anxiety, depression, fear, or loss, know that you are not alone on your journey. I help people like you, or someone you love, who struggle with the thoughts, feelings and actions that are stubbornly in the way of happiness.

The people I see have worries that haunt them, depression that weighs them down, or they have ongoing arguments that are repeated to the point of exhaustion. I like to work with adult individuals and couples and show them that they have the opportunity and the ability to navigate toward healthier and happier living.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. Before that I earned a Bachelor's degree in both Psychology and Art from Thomas Edison State College while serving in the Navy. My background and interests are varied between creative arts and analytical science.
Have you and your partner fallen into communication patterns that are shaped by silence, outbursts, resentment or nagging? Has the ease and pleasure in your relationship been replaced by irritation, loneliness or anger? Perhaps unresolved fights or feelings of guilt have built into a seemingly impenetrable wall, and you don't even feel comfortable talking to your spouse.
If you have one or more of these symptoms it may mean that you are suffering with a form of Depression, Anxiety, or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Is it time for you to accept help to nudge you back on the path to better living? Everyone needs help sometime. If you are overwhelmed with challenges, anxiety, depression or loss, know that you are not alone on your journey.
It is estimated that 18% of people in the US have a form of an anxiety disorder. Anxiety is more than the occasional feeling of fear or worry, it effects all branches of our lives and can impair or strain relationships with friends and family, reduce productivity at work, and diminish focus for learning new tasks or facts.
If you want to use your insurance company then you'd pay my normal rate, then I'd give you a bill for you to seek reimbursement. To use insurance you must have a medically significant mental disorder. Therefore, if you do not have a diagnosis then you will have to pay out-of-pocket.

I can do an evaluation if you think you may have a mental health disorder (Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder etc.).Most insurance companies don't cover "marriage therapy" unless the marital problems cause mental distress or impairment. Some people choose not to use insurance for the sake of privacy or concern about how their information may impact their job ex.
