The technique was named after one of the most significant contributors to the chiropractic profession. Dr. Clarence S. Gonstead was of Norwegian descent and graduated chiropractic school in 1923. He had an engineering background which shows the precision of his work. If you had to describe the type of chiropractic work Gonstead is vs. the other 200+ accepted chiropractic techniques, SPECIFIC is the word that best describes his technique.

We feel honored to have the opportunity to impact the most important system in the body for multiple beings simultaneously. Dr. Mendez has worked on many pregnant patients.
A common question asked by Dr. Mendez is, what do you think is the youngest age the human spine should get checked? Most people walking into our office don't really know how to answer that. A common reply is teenage years, or the age when they started to feel a problem or symptom. Just to give a reference and lead by example, Dr. Mendez has been checking and adjusting his children at just hours of age right after being born still at the hospital.
The needs of different segments of the population require different needs and approaches. In the Gonstead technique Dr. Mendez as a diplomate, is specially trained to handle cases that many other chiropractors may not address; i.e. osteoporotic patients.

Although patients come in routinely for extremity problems, oftentimes these issues can be correlated or combined with malfunction of the peripheral area itself. Just to give you an idea, all the following joints/areas/regions can be addressed along with the spinal check-up. For example, it is also common to have a spinal issue that is unable to hold or correct without addressing an old ankle sprain causing low back pain.

I've been to Dr Mendez many times and every experience was great. Once I walked in there with my back muscles injured so badly that my shoulders were misaligned significantly from the inflammation in my back (I know it's serious), and when I walked out everything was back to normal. It's pretty amazing how effective chiropractors can be.

Unbelievable. My son had to pick me up off floor and bring me. Within 7 visits was much better. Continue to see him now every 5 th week. Made my first road trip down to Florida. In 30 years of travel this the first time I had no pain run down my leg to my foot. I was amazed how good I feel. After 19 hours of driving played 3 straight days of golf with no problems. I am 66 years old. Thanks Doc!

I had constant neck and back pain that effected my everyday life. I have visited several chiropractors who made adjustments but did not take the time to pinpoint where the issue was stemming from. Dr. Mendez's thorough and precise technique targets the exact vertebrae that needs adjustment. The care is so well done I also have Dr. Jerry treat my toddlers since they were infants. Dr Jerry Mendez is very knowledgeable in regards to bones structures, joints, and pitched nerves . He has a state of the art X-ray equipment where I can view my results in minutes and able to go over with me and explain what I actually see in my X-rays. He has seen and helped my family, including my 2 years old daughter and friends. In getting adjusted and helping with pain pressure mostly due to pitched nerves of just daily life duties.

I was referred to Dr Jerry a year ago by my brother in law who had an incredible experience after suffering from a complex back issue. Jerry took over an hour on-boarding me during my initial consult. He explained his practice, methodology, and the Gonstead technique. Dr. Mendez is different than my previous chiropractors. He approaches each of my sessions with methodical measurements so that his adjustments are targeted at what specifically needs adjustment.
It’s really refreshing compared to my previous chiropractors. If you’ve been to a few different ones then you know their patterns that often feel like they’re guessing at where the real issues are as they try different adjustments that sometimes work.
In contrast, Dr Mendez is so effective at addressing my issues that I have no interest in finding anyone else much closer to me. I highly recommend

Dr. Jerry has been the only Chiropractor/PT/Doctor that was able to fix my lingering back and hip pain. I had it for over 2 years and have tried many different doctors/treatments to fix it. Nothing worked. I finally googled Gonstead Chiropractors near my location and he came up. THANK GOD I found him. I forgot what it felt like to feel normal!

I love Precision Family Health. Dr. Mendez loves what he does and it shows. After my adjustments I feel and sleep so much better. My daughter (who is three years old) gets adjusted as well and his team of happy helpers always make her feel comfortable. It is a family environment grounded in the concept that with a help of chiropractic the body can heal itself.
