Dr. Gao is graduated from the prestigious dental school at West China University of Medical Sciences in 1996 with a DDS and a MS degree. He then joined the faculty at school of dentistry of Tongji University in Shanghai for several years. In the United States, he continued his education in dentistry at Loma Linda University, where he graduated with the highest honor of the OKU award.
RTP Dental care is conveniently located on Highway 55, inside of Kitt Creek Office Park and is accessible via all major roads. Take I-40 and exit on 278. At the stoplight, turn right on to Hwy NC 55. His team is good. The Dentist however, leaves something to be desired. His bedside manner is just awful. He acts rushed and rough to the point of rudeness. The last time I visited in Nov. I asked whether they were busy because he was rushing. The hygienist said they were not. I was one of the two patients at that time. He didn't take the time to explain what he was doing he just opened my mouth. I needed a cleaning and filling to be replaced. He Said "you don't need numbing". I'm thinking How would you know what my pain level is? You're not me. Then I said I would like some local anesthetic and

Terrible experience recently!!! Be careful when you need dental treatments other than just regular exam and cleaning.
Seeing him for a couple of years for regular exam & cleaning. BUT having a terrible experience recently. He made two crowns for me (about two years ago), both are not fitting well. There is a big gap between crowns and the neighboring teeth and food always trapped in. I mentioned this to him several times, but he didn't have any solution and just suggest to extra the neighboring tooth. The worst thing is one tooth that he made crown on 2.5 years ago has been having infection since

The best ever dentist I've ever been too. Thank you Tao Gao. Dr Gao and team are the best in dental care and experience. Dr Gao has helped my overall dental care and provided me with a crown and bridge that have surpassed my expectations. Lena, manager, can always provide me with a very exact estimate so there are never any surprises. Dr Gao helped my friend NOT get an implant that another dentist said was mandatory. I have been with Dr. Gao for 4 years and would recommend him to others. I'd say he has good technique and experience to handle complicated cases though sometimes not gentle enough. To me the former is more important and I really like the way he spent time explaining my teeth problem, of course you have to ask in the first place.
