I have been "ghosted" by Alex as some of these other reviewers state.
He did fine on my relatively simple taxes, but I very much needed tax information about my upcoming retirement issues. He said he would do a forecast of my tax burden for retirement time... he never did , even after I brought it up several times. He eventually said "just go look the info up online, you should be able to figure it out".
I have not heard back from him about this issue or about scheduling an appt for my 2019 taxes....emailed twice. Last year when I showed up to pick up my finished tax forms

Alex has done my taxes for a couple of years. If you just need someone to do your taxes, he might be your guy. Anything beyond that - look elsewhere. He's not consultative or particularly good at helping you understand where you are and ways to improve your tax burden in the years to come. Likewise, and most concerning, we refinanced our house in 2019 and several questions emerged regarding our tax filings and how income was reported from some rental properties. The loan officer, underwriter and I all tried to call and email Alex, multiple times - he did not answer or respond, he ghosted

Alex has been doing my personal and corporate taxes since 2016. He seemed like a good guy and initially there were no issues. Over time his responses to emails and phone calls became more flaky.
This year he completely failed to file the corporate taxes despite having promised two weeks before the deadline that they would be filed on time. This was in response to an email I had sent him concerned that the taxes had not yet been filed. He was provided with all of the paperwork needed two months before the deadline. 1. Alex never filed the paperwork to make my company an S-Corp (I paid for the service and it was never done properly)
2. Alex claimed to be working on my S-Corp return last month. When I finally called the IRS to find out whether he had even filed the return (he never sent me confirmation and stopped answering emails, phone calls, etc) they said they had no record of a 2015 tax return. They also said my LLC wasn't registered as an S-Corp. As a result, my taxes for 2015 are COMPLETELY screwed. I had to scramble to find a new accountant. He clearly knew he screwed up.
I am completely disgusted

My return was pretty simple this year, but I had a few important questions. Alex was very responsive by e-mail in setting me up with the portal and a phone appointment. We discussed the questions I had and Alex seemed very knowledgeable. Later that evening, Alex e-mailed me to say that, based on some quick calculations he'd done, he was coming out with the same figures I'd had on TurboTax, so I'd be better off booking with TurboTax and he wouldn't charge me for his time. That's some A+ service right there!

Alex comes across as very responsive and organized. His website is great and easy to upload information. I was looking for a new CPA and tried him out this year. My taxes were not complicated. He made numerous errors on my return, despite us meeting in person and going over everything line by line. There were basic simple errors that I caught (and I'm not a CPA or in finance). It took me 4 hours going through my return line by line comparing it to previous years to find all the errors.

I have worked with several others over the years and in the end, I left them for various reasons.... Not accurate, too expensive, not responsive, charging me for every little question I have (I don't have many). I can tell you that I have had nothing but a positive experience with Alex. He is on it. I've turned all of my friends on to him. He is everything that the other were not. He is professional, prompt, accurate, and just a nice guy. Taxes can be a little scary, so its nice to be able to trust somebody to help with this process. I give him the highest of recommendations.

I initially came to Alex because I had issues with back taxes. Alex and Emmanuel answered all my questions and made me relax about the IRS. I highly recommend them to anyone looking at a CPA. They also help me make my companies all in the good, payroll, insurance and banking issues. I used Alex for my corporate and personal tax returns. My experience was very pleasant. He was very personable and timely. He made sure I got the maximum deductions that I could get, guiding me through the process. My previous accountant just wanted me to mail all the records and without any questions would file them.
