I cannot explain how life changing Dance Body is. I can only do the virtual workouts since I don't live in NY but it doesn't matter. The on demand app is by far better than anything else out there because it's not scripted, there's not a long breakdown of each exercise, it's not phony and plays the best music! It's obvious that the trainers work SO hard to construct the routines and they push themselves through every class with you. There is a huge variety of workouts that isn't specifically dance if that isn't what you're into. Long story short: if

DanceBody is for you if Zumba and other cardio dance workouts are not challenging enough for you. When you take Dancebody classes, you are not just learning the steps because you are also inspired by their instructors' hard work and dedication, which help to keep you motivated. Katia, Courtnay, Yvette, and the rest of the DB team: you lift me every single day especially over the past year, which has been most difficult for me. Thank you so very much XOXO

Dancebody is hands down the BEST and MOST FUN workout for dancers and "non-dancers" alike! Learning a series of hot new dances over the course of 3 months will have you unleashing your inner Beyoncé AND getting an amazing workout that doesn't feel like work. Dancebody keeps surviving and thriving wherever it can during the pandemic--online streaming at DBLive, on rooftops, in parks, and private sessions in studio. To top it all off, this company is run by the sweetest and fiercest women in New York City. They need your support, and they will also support you as you grow into this

I am in Los Angeles. Took a class with Katia when she came visited LA and LOVE it!!! I now subscribe their classes annually on line. Their dance and sculpt classes are the best. I have taken cardio dance, Latin dance and Bollypop for years, and I love Dancebody classes the most. Their dance is most energetic and fun . If you want to have hard, fun and working dance classes, you sure don't want to miss Dancebody!

I really miss Dancebody and can't wait for them to return to NYC full-time! This is a great workout for people who enjoy dancing and it doesn't matter if you're a great dancer. They have classes for all levels. For beginners, signature 101 and sculpt are ideal where they repeat most movements a number of times so it's easy to follow. The workouts are super fun but also make you sweat. Since the studios shutdown for the pandemic, I've been taking some of their online streamteam classes. Of course, that experience is not the same as in person classes but I guess something

DanceBody has a few classes, From signature to more advanced classes, some include floor (barre Like/ light weights) others are dance only. A new choreography is given each month, and everyone learned it, so if you are new to dance, or don't pick up choreography straight away, go on the first week of the month.
Why am I giving only 3 stars? Well If you are teaching choreography, and also want to get a workout, that is ok. But in my opinion as someone who is a seasoned dancer, you must also be teaching form and technique. The three classes I took here I was not corrected once, the weights

If you want to feel like you're on a dance troupe and take your dancing seriously, this is for you.
The website doesn't do the greatest job of describing what this place is about. 4/6 class types are FULLY choreographed from warm up to cool down, and you have three month cycles to master it. You and all your dance squad members will probably need to attend this class regularly if you expect to keep up. Attending twice a week and still can't remember an hours worth of choreography? No worries, they gladly offer private sessions to help you keep up with the rest of your classmates

If you aren't a dancer, do not take this class. It's super hard to follow along, and you can't hear the instructor over the music because they don't have microphones. If you're not a dancer, you will feel awkward. They record the classes and some girls in the class set up their phones to record themselves, thus getting you. It made me super self conscious. I would not return.

DanceBody is one of my favorite workouts ever! You leave dripping in sweat all while having a blast! Don't worry if you cannot dance, I am the worst dancer ever but at Dancebody, if you are a pro dancer, great! But if you have two left feet, no one cares! I've had classes with KD, and Courtney as well as Laura Ann in Miami (she's amazing I wish she was in NYC) The energy of all the instructors are insane! These girls are tough! Trust me, go to dancebody you'll love it

This review is for the Online Dancebody option offered because I live out of the NY area. I was super excited to try but the web version just fails in most respects.
First, I was cool with paying ~$15.00 for 2 weeks of trial because I was really into the idea but there should really be some kind of a 'free trial' offer as well, even if it's just for a few days. Then, the website itself is pretty confusing and I'm very tech savvy...it just could be laid out better, there are a lot of circular types of links but after some, but not a lot, of time, I could see what was going

Dancebody has the best choreography of any dance cardio studio I've been to - it's intricate and very dancey. I've found it to be fun but challenging, so if you're new to dance cardio, I would recommend taking their breakdown class first.
I took several classes through Classpass but since canceling my membership, I've not been back. While the instructors are awesome, I can't justify paying $35 per class when no amenities are provided - real studio space, towels, water fountain, lockers, showers, etc. I'd seriously consider coming back, however, if they ever

BEST CLASS EVER, PERIOD.
This review is for the the Sculpt classes. Let me start off to say that I have taken almost 500 classes via classpass and through other studios all over the country, and I have to say that the sculpt class taught by Katia was amazing.
Plus: instructor's enthusiasm, overall energy, music, moves, and structure of the class was all cohesive and layed out very well. I was looking for a sculpting class that would build lean muscles instead of bulk me up and this class definitely did it's job. There was constant movement, so you also got a decent cardio burn as

Finally writing a review after being a DanceBody client for a year now. I still remember my first class and I think that's what has kept me coming back time and time again. Katia was teaching and when she started to move I was just completely blown away. Talk about inspiration during your workout -- her energy, body, enthusiasm and effort push you to work harder than you think is possible (plus you know this is like her 5th workout of the day!). Knowing it was my first class, she invited me to stick around for a double so I could get the full dance + sculpt experience.
