In the Cleveland Print Room's Factory Fellowship, young artists develop individual creative voice while making new photography. Mentors offer one-on-one support while going on photo shoots, discussing the process and sharing inspiration. This community of young artists and mentors meets in person at the Print Room, via Zoom, and through an online photo-sharing platform.
Young artists receive a $100 stipend for their dedication during the 8-week Factory Fellowship, which is offered spring, summer and fall. Thank you to the Cleveland Foundation for their support of our Arts Mastery Teen Institute.

Services
Cleveland Print Room advances the art and appreciation of the photographic image in all its forms by providing affordable access to a community darkroom and workspace, gallery exhibition, educational programs and collaborative outreach. In 2005 we noticed a troubling trend, many high schools, arts centers and universities/colleges were actively downsizing and decommissioning their darkroom facilities.
Visual artist Shari Wilkins created the Cleveland Print Room in 2013 as an intervention that is part of her social practice. Drawing on a background in social work and the music business, her art is often issue-based and place-based. She seeks to affect social change through personal work that collaborates with community.
Newsletter including upcoming events and news, along with a National/Ohio Photography Call for Art information and Local, Ohio, & National Grant Opportunity information. If you find you cannot attend a class you have already paid for, credit will be issued toward another class. B&W darkroom use is $15/visit (after 3 hours each additional hour is $5) includes chemistry.
CPR's Teen Institute gives kids the tools to express themselves through photography, interact with their environment, and learn what it means to be an artist. The Cleveland Print Room (CPR) is proud to offer youth photography classes that enrich and educate. CPR's Teen Institute serves over 400 students, grades 4 to 12 annually, with the goal of fostering self expression and community engagement among a diverse group of students.

My child has attended the CPR for two years and it has been a true blessing. My child has received so much personalized attention, every presenter is absolutely incredible. The training received in photography has been immense! Nina has now helped me with some professional projects and has developed some great skills in photography, filming, art and adobe photoshop, illustrator and now dipping into premier pro. I believe they will also teach some kids to open their own online gallery. Love you CPR!

This place is absolutely one of a kind! For the low fee of 35 bucks a YEAR you can be a member of this community darkroom. I love this space. Every to months there is an opening of a photography gallery show that is FREE and open to the public. So many cool ways to meet local artists and art lovers.
