Dos Reales

LOVE this restaurant. Not only is the inside so cute and such a fun place to go but it also has amazing food!! I've also gotten carry out I think like 3 times and every time the food has been hot, packed well, good servings, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite spots and I recommend it to anyone!

This place has become a fan favorite of my boyfriend and I. We are never disappointed with the service and food! It's SO good and they have a bog selection of options. They even add chips and salsa on take out orders for free!!

FYI: This 75th Street location is TEMPORARILY CLOSED for renovations, but the FB page says it's open and the website is still taking payment for food orders that will never arrive. Where did our money go? Who knows. There's no one to contact. If you try to call the other Dos Reales location to tell them about the website, they'll just apologize and… hang up.
We love Dos Reales, but this still hasn't been fixed. We placed our order on 12/2/2021 and another person posted on FB about their order on November 19th, so the website has been taking people's money for a couple weeks now. Can someone

Taco Tuesday so tried a new place. Very cool inside and service was very good and she was very nice.

Complimentary chips and two salsas. One was chunky and I liked it a lot. The other was more traditional but also very good. I had ground beef hard shell and chicken soft shell tacos. They were very big tacos. Tons of white meat chicken and lost of cheese. Very good tacos and by far one of the best values on Taco Tuesday I've experienced. It seems like many places skimp on Taco Tuesday-they did not. Great food, great service and fun place.

This place is just around the corner from where I work so I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad that I tried this tucked away restaurant. From the outside you would not expect the large dinning area on the inside. Within this hidden gems decor you will find spacious seating among water fountains inside.
The menu is not packed full of so many choices that its hard to choose what you want, nor is it a small menu by any means. I think they found that sweet spot of having a great selection with out flooding the menu or filling in a lot of space with photos of the food. Another thing i do like

Ordered thru Uber Eats, my first time ordering their food.

My daughter and hubby were happy with their food, but mine was horrid - I ordered a salad, described as "Hats off for this crowd pleaser! Sliced grilled chicken breast, layered with crisp cucumber, queso fresco and creamy avocado ranch dressing on a crispy wheat tortilla shell". The salad I received, however, contained NO cucumber, NO queso fresco, NO creamy avocado ranch, an NO tortilla shell. Basically, it was flavorless chicken on a bed of iceberg lettuce with chopped tomatoes. I've complained thru Uber, will see what

Gave this place a second chance & experienced the same bad service from the bar "staff". Non attentive, no interaction skills whatsoever. The "bartender" was more concerned with her phone & socializing with co… workers than the 3 costumers at the bar.
Ordered fajitas they forgot the tortillas, said they will get them yet never arrived.
Perhaps is because I work in the restaurant business that I am not willing to overlook the lack of service/training of your employees. I tipped the "bartender" out of respect but not because she deserved it.

Terrible service all around. Was seated and waited 10 minutes to even meet our waiter. Asked for hot salsa when we finally got our chips and never received it. Husbands water sat empty at the end of the table even though our friend who had his glass right next to my husbands, got refilled. And yes it was only water. Ordered the soup but wasn’t… able to even start in on it until almost our party was done with their food due to the temperature nearly scalding me. Chips were very stale. Would NOT recommend. I see 5 stars so hopefully this was just an off night. Also there was aluminum

Many years ago I came out to visit a friend and see if KC was a potential option for relocation, Dos Reales was the first restaurant I ate at in KC and I've never stopped going back... I've had a less than pleasurable meal from either the staff or cooks depending on the day, but as someone who has eaten there on a frequent bases for many years the good far out weigh the bad, if your looking for good Mexican and you haven't been here you should definitely try it out, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Decided to try this based off of google reviews. Glad we did. Food was really good. Reasonable price for pitcher of margaritas. Great service. It would be a 5 star review except the music was so loud you had to scream at each other to converse.

Cocktail was weak, so I ordered an extra shot as did the person next to me. The shot was gin rather than Jim Beam. I did not get the correct order till food came. The taco did not come with avocados as stated, so I drank my cocktail while I waited for this. Others had their food. No apologies, no nothing. There were similar problems with service on a visit a few years ago and I never planned to return, but someone else arranged this get together.

After being skeptical of an authentic Mexican restaurant in Shawnee, I was pleased both times I have visited. The menu is large and I was hoping for a deep fried taco, however, based on Yelp photos I opted out. I prefer a real deep fried shell and not the store bought shape - if you know what I mean. Instead both my husband and I tried the Burrito Green Chile because we love a burrito spread and this was the closest thing. It was SO good. The flavor and sauce were some of the best green Chile I have tried. Highly recommend.
Only negative - they could do with a bit larger portions of rice and more

Terrible. I have had better TV dinners. Do not waste your time or money here. The food was cold the enchilada was direct from a box. The salsa is like ketchup, the taco shell was cold as was the taco meat.

This place is absolutely AMZING time and time again. Chips/salsa are great and they are quick to keep them topped off. Lots of food for a good price. My favorite is burrito cheesesteak. Margaritas actually have tequila in them and price is good. Thx !!!

Food is always great and alot for the price. we went on fathers day and got a table as soon as we walked in the door

My wife and I come here ALOT. We travel to Mexico alot and we cant just eat anywhere, so we come here. The staff is always friendly, and is a clean place to visit. AND the drinks are pretty amazing too!

Really good Mexican food like the atmosphere just wear it looks like there's buildings and doors that go nowhere it's kind of cool. Worth a try try the margaritas beers are cold
