Over the past few months, we have been hard at work opening our brand new office location and our "virtual home" here on the Internet. We hope that you find your experience with it both user friendly and enjoyable. Surf around our site and soon you'll be "feeling right at home" not only with Thrive Counseling but with our new website as well!
We warmly invite you and your family into our practice, where we want you to feel safe, respected, and valued. Nothing is more important than family. Yet, we all know that traumatic experiences, unexpected events, difficult relationships and outside influences can threaten a family and its children's well being.

Services
Thrive Counseling prides itself on teamwork. This includes our Clinical Director working to ensure the quality of our services. The director meets regularly with our Thrive Therapists to monitor adherence to accepted standards for ethical, legal, and professional practice, and provides oversight for Support Staff with scheduling, staffing, and financial issues as they pertain to client needs.
Before initiating counseling services, We schedule an initial assessment session with either you and/or your partner, without your child being present. Occasionally, the initial assessment may take place with all members of your family present. The initial assessment is completed in one 50-minute session.
Seeking out therapy is both an individual and family choice. There are many reasons why people come to therapy. Individuals and families sometimes come to counseling to help process and heal from trauma, a crisis, or abuse. Sometimes it is to deal with long-standing psychological issues, or problems with anxiety or depression.

Abigail came to our high school to give a presentation on Resiliency to the faculty. With all that is going on in schools, the idea of Teacher & Student resiliency is so important. Abigail was professional in her presentation and gave useful suggestions on how for us to be proactive in building resiliency in us before something occurs. Several other teachers talked to me about how helpful this 90 minute presentation was for them. I recommend others consider asking for a workshop from Thrive or attending the virtual workshops that they offer.

Was referred here and had high expectations. The paper work took a full hour, the evalutation was an hour + time away from work, only for the head therapist to recommend other places to get counseling. They claim to offer child yoga and they do not actually. It doesn't seem like they have the experience or programs they claim to on the their website. Very disappointed. My star is for the office appeal, because I feel like this place spends more time on office esthetics than it does quality staff.
