California Medical Massage is owned by Melly Spohr, Licensed Massage Therapist. At your first visit, a thorough medical history will be taken, and we will discuss aspects of your life, like your job, hobbies, or sports you are involved in, whether you are on your feet, or sitting on your computer all day, or have a job that requires a lot of repetitive movement.
We take all of these things into account as well as your posture, symmetry, and joint range of motion. Together, we can customize the massage to your needs. Your massage may be complete relaxation, a classic, traditional Swedish type massage.

Services
This is a classic type of massage. Client will disrobe to their level of comfort, and be draped with a sheet. Your privacy and integrity will be highly regarded. This type of massage will be mostly Swedish using massage oils, involving firm, long, kneading strokes, often combined with some movement of the joints.

I booked am appointment with Melly to address a shoulder injury. She knew just how to manipulate my shoulder to release the tension. It was so good I went back to address my basic back aches and other pains. I left feeling so relaxed. I will definitely be going back.

Mother of three active kids with lower back pain. Since the last year of working from home and various global issues going on, I have found I am not getting the usual stretches in and I injured by back. Melly saved me back! My boss sent me to her because my job is constant bending and I felt like my back was going to freeze and I wasn't going to be able to stand up. Melly listen to all the woes of my pain and helped me with some stretches, and an incredible massage. I have not felt like I'm going to get stuck since. She is so sweet and easy to talk to, an incredible listener, and gave me the best massage I have ever had. I could not recommend her enough. She made me feel so comfortable with her warm personality.

Melly is a unique blend of compassion, skill, and intuition. She listens to your concerns and gently massages them away. When I smiled at her, upon our first meeting, she noticed that I had a (delightfully) crooked smile. During our session she went right to work and eased the responsible tension. I'm still smiling!

Had a great first massage with Melly yesterday. She did a very thorough assessment interview and catered my massage to my needs super well. She did a great job with the massage both in terms of pressure, attention to certain requests/needs, and time. She was also very friendly/personable. Will DEFINITELY be back.
