Fluidol began in Columbus, Ohio and was founded by Wayne Catto in June of 1981. In 1986 Fluidol designed the Sealing Systems for various marine applications. Almost immediately after this success, Fluidol designed a new series seals for several vessels. This was followed by new commercial pump seals as well as turbine seals.
The Fluidol Style 18 is a Single Balanced High Pressure Cartridge Seal that is rated to 1200 psig and meets API 610 specifications. This beefy Cartridge will also perform at very high speeds up to 6500 FPM. The 19 is an Excellent Seal for Mixers, Agitators, Washer Tanks, Ribbon Blenders, Vertical Pumps and Vertical Applications.
The Style 46 incorporates the same faceless and spring less design of our Style 42 and 44 but uses our "Enerlon Sealing Units" which allow for typical mixer shaft radial movement while maintaining sealing performance under high pressure and high vacuum sealing demands. The Style 46 is also designed to seal all gases and vapors associated with many FDA and other mixer applications.
The Style 42's faceless and spring less design allows sealing of previously impossible applications, and extends seal life 4-6 times what has been the past expectation for cartridge lip seal. The style 42 now incorporates 3rd generation cartridge lip seal technology achieved through continuous improvement of both design and materials.
The Style 44's faceless and spring less design allows sealing of previously impossible applications. These cartridges incorporate our TLS Everseal sealing units with our Eschelon II Sealing lips. The Eschelon II sealing lips are a precision machined Tapered Lip design to extend sealing life and incorporate annular grooves for improved sealing over a wide range of media viscosities.
